I take pictures with my android phone. When I upload the photos to my laptop, they're upright like they're suppose to be. When I download them to my gallery, they're sideways. Any help would be appreciated.
For me on my iPhone I edit the picture the slightest......rotating it just a bit and then save it. When I upload it seems to be fine. If o don’t do this they turn sideways for me too.
Lmao......but yeah, you're correct. I have a camera, just got to relearn how to use it. I'll try the specific methods mentioned by u190 and GB.
Thanks guys.
What's happening is your phone is recording the rotational metadata in the exif information. So yeah the "fix" is to hold the phone the orientation you want the picture to be in when you view it later. Or you might be able to set the picture taking app to ignore rotational/exif data when saving a photo, that depends on the application though.
Ok, so I slightly altered the position, and resized it. It worked. I'll try the other technique when I take photos the next time. Thanks for your input AP.
