Photoperiod question

I have 22 plants from seed and 3 clones under t5's . They're under 24 hour lighting . They've been in veg for roughly 1 and a half months . I tried to get an early jump on the 2016 outdoor season .

My issues is that they're in 1 gallon pots and getting root bound .. I'm kind of out of room in the area they're in . I could upgrade to 2 gallons and really crowd them if I had to . The other plan was to wait a week and put them outside in larger pots and bring them in at night . I'm mainly concerned about them going into flowering too early and potentially hurting the yield later . Any insight would be appreciated . I guess I got a bit a head of myself this year, lol..

What he said.
You could always take a bunch of clones of the best ones you have going and just put out the best of those at a more appropriate time.

Go find my thread a page back about whether my plants will be too old. Last year I had seed plants in 1 gallons for two months because my situation at the time didn't allow me to up-pot them. It's definitely not ideal, whatsoever. Some did ok but many were stunted and yield was poor. I would either start over and follow the advice in the thread I suggested, or put them outside in 10 gallon pots if possible. At least 5 gallons. Use supplemental lighting to make sure they don't flower and start lowering the hours of light to get them ready. As for what you could do with your current plants, you could turn them into mothers, put them on craigslist, flower them, or run an experiment on them.

Damn... I'm basically in the same situation with a twist. Any advice is appreciated... And here's what I've done so far.
I started from seed some ( what I think will be) kick as strains I cross bred. I popped the seeds at the end of January and topped the end of February after I transplanted to 1 gallon pots. March 13th I moved them away from my T5's in my big greenhouse to a smaller unheated greenhouse without any supplemental light. In Oregon we are at 12 hours daylight and I was hoping to trigger the makes to show.. Pull them and then get the plants back into my big greenhouse in 24 hour light.
In the first 5 days I pulled 12 males... In the last 4 days only 4 more and I have 60 plants! Logic tells me that I should have about 50% males...unless for some reason I had a hermi plant or two that produced female seeds??? Do you think I still need to wait these plants out...?? Could they be sensing the daylight hours are increasing?
I was thinking of pulling the 10 or so plants that " appear" to have female pre flowers and returning them to 24 hour light.
To answer your question... Are you sure you have all female plants? If yours are anywhere near the size of mine right now 12-24 inches tall and bushy... It wouldn't be good to leave them in 1 gallon pots... I bought 5 gallon plastic grow bags.. They aren't rigid..you can fill them as full as you want and they are cheap!

Oh yeah.... The ones that are showing female pre flowers I've cloned..I numbers the cuttings to match the pot it came with just in case it is male.

Ok the wife won't let me cull them lol .. So I'm going to put them in 2 gallons and crowd them . They're already showing signs of nute lockup .. They're gonna be ugly by April 20th when they're ready to go in the ground .. Oh well .. As far as the clones .. If I keep them under continuous light will they be ok if I out them out June 1? Thx for the replies :) The next wave I start April 1 will redeem my timing mistake haha

No, you will most likely send them straight into flower. That will be too stressful. For me, i like to start a month or couple weeks before they go outside and cut lights back in 15 minute increments trying to best match the light cycle outside at the time of year. That way, they are least stressed as possible. Hope this helps.

I do the same thing... I'm going to start dialing back the timer until I'm at 15-16 hours of light by mid-may. Here in Oregon were approaching 16 hours around May 15... I look a good 3 day stretch of weather when I remove the supplemental lighting. Even when doing that.. Some of my early flowers sometimes try to start flowering.
