I don't have a digital with a macro function, but from what I understand, they start from about $300 and go up.

sorry to continue with offtopic talk... almost every camera has a macro function, but for a quality macro you need a SLR or DSLR camera... I think they start from 500 $...
Also you can use a magnifing lens to take the macro throught it, if you don't have enough optical zoom and you want that type of details of trichomes.

Yeah, he has quite a few attachments on his SLR. If you go to his thread he actually posts a pic of his setup. It is the macro of all macro shots.
