Phing in organics

I know that many people say you don't need to Ph your water in organics cause you have microbes and other beneficial stuff in you soil to help you out. I wonder why we don't Ph our water. When we Ph our water we can selectively lock out certain nutrients with the right Ph and help our plants at certain stages of growth when it needs certain nutrients and less of others. I would like to hear from growers their reasons why they don't or do Ph their water, including flush water (yes I ph my flush water).

Oh I think we all need to know our Water PH.

I live in farm land so it's about 6.5

If you have some water too far one way or the other and small containers I'd adjust the water PH.

But basically yes a living soil seems to ballance PH out as long as it's a reasonable thing.

I hardly ever check my fish emulsion mixes PH I'm sure its low.

The end result of the grow is excellent so I don't worry.

I should say that part of my feeding layers have been crushed oyster shell.

so I do think ahead about materials I put in..

It's just that I'm not active in the PH control area.

Imo expecting your medium is going to manage your ph for you is bs. Most ferts including organics are acid based and need to be properly ph buffered to make the most of them available to the plant. I have yet to read anyplace where its recommended to fluctuate the ph in some sort of attempt to micro control its feeding habits. The recommendation has always been to find the plants ph sweet spot and hover there. The problem with plants is they will feed on whatevers there for as long as its there so feeding levels are as important as ph levels.

this is true, without proper ph instruments your growing will never reach its full potential. On the subject of ph'ing your flush water id say its a good idea considering you dont want to watch your plant shrivel up in the last 10 days due to some wack ass tap water ph.
