Has anyone been to the Philippines, especially Palawan....just wanting to know about the smoking culture here. If this is the wrong section, please move this thread...

I lived in ph for awhile... but have only visited palawan a couple times. risky to smoke pot there. long time in bamboo prison sux ass. ive heard of tourists getting 10 years for 5 grams of weed. ive also heard of people getting life sentences for a pound. or 50 grams of hash..
My advice on where to get it would be from bar girls or mamasans.
If you get caught make sure you have some cash on you and try to bribe the 1st cop(s) if you wait too long and they take you to the station you will have too many cops to pay off. treat cop with respect, give him a cigarette, apologize for causing problem, dont mention how the laws are softer in your country, kiss his ass tell him how u admire him bravery for being a cop.

northern Luzon is probably the best spot to find nice smoke and its a little bit safer there than in the more tourist areas like palawan. cheap flights from palawan to manila then bus ride to sagada for smoke some very nice hash in the mountains.

I had to run for my life in Subic City for smoking a joint on the beach. All of these little shits where chasing me so that I could bribe them. I ate the joint, thank god that was all I had. I am still scared and that was in 1982

Sagada is a very nice town, looks like a Lake Tahoe alpine village! Historically it is a unique tribe of people and also Anglican chuch area. Lots of German packpackers there.
