October 7th harvest day on these early querkle seeds. They should tell me about what each of these pass on in outcrossing.

Got a few of these Chelumbian f2's and a bunch of freebies. The chelumbian is one of my favorite smokes, the colombian phenotypes are my favorites.

The Freebies are 'Team Green Avengers' Aka TGA Subcool Seeds("Subcool's The Dank")

Alchemy(chem D x Querkle) 5 pack 😃

Qleaner(Jack's Cleaner x Querkle) 16 pack 😃

And a free promotional pack of Norstar Seeds: Panama Boqueté (Frap Frap Mazar x Panama F3), which I am already growing! I like this hybrid alot, nice squat hybrids. Smells vary from strawberry to Sushi roll with wasabi(fishy/horseradish/umami), I look forward to growing more of these! I should be able to start these relatively soon. I want to start flowering these in 6 weeks when the current harvest is finished. They should be good to compare with the current Querkle plants I have.

Here's the Wasabi pheno

Good luck with your run, you have some fine seeds to grow, have fun with them. (y)
I have not grown anything from TGA for a very long time, I think my last TGA seeds were the Ace of Spades, great cross, I loved my AOS keeper, a high like a punch and a great lemon/berry taste.
I've seen MzJill is selling some seeds but I don't know if they worth growing them, can't find a lot grows with her new seeds.

I have heard nice things about MzJills genetics, she bred many award winning hybrids, i believe she's had good selections as several successful breeders use her genetics. I personally used a Plushberry 'Rosè wine' phenotype from the 2014. Not a heavy yielder, but very unique odor profile and sativa growth despite the line being indica dominant.

My sole "funky cold medina" phenotype is very low yield and stretchy, but resilient to stress and stable. Purples outdoors with the OG kush look. It is also as it's name implies, a funky plant which smells like OG and Exodus cheese.

Good resin coverage, as you can see on this pregnant calyx. A few mature seeds are forming, about 2 weeks to go until harvest.

Panama Boqueté
I can see taking this to f2 to get me a proper male, i didnt get one in this pack of seeds, the next pack of 13 i hope i will be lucky. No intersex plants thus far 🙏, not huge hybrids bursting with vigor, yet very resilient, more like old school "Ice" I grew from nirvana seeds, which I loved, I can't wait to smoke this!

This
50/50 phenotype above has about a week or two left nefore harvest.

Meanwhile this phenotype below is the "strawberry Mazar" aka "frap frap mazar" phenotype with very tight internodes and resinous hashplant appearance.

A few mature seeds on each of these from my f2's should produce something with hashplant and sativa genetics but flowers faster than my f1 or f2 polyhybrid.

first hints of purple starting to show on querkle (coconut macaroon pheno) about 2-3 weeks until seed harvest, I will be revegging these plant starting tomorrow under 20/4 lighting. It speeds up seed production and gives me new shoots to make even more seeds after re-potting and veg. I will use these two querkle moms to make seeds using the Qleaner males should I find some. It takes a few months to years of testing to know whether a mother plant passes on the goods to offspring without ruining the line in f2's or later. Next summer these seeds are getting grown outdoors.

Maybe a week and a half left. About 9 weeks to finish flower. Very manageable for a panama landrace f1 😊 smells like sushi and wasabi.

Panama Boqueté #2, hybrid pheno - I believe this plant may require another two weeks before the seeds are matured.

More sativa influence showing towards harvest. They're plentiful, and thus far the pheno has remained stable.

I just popped some old TGA sub sent me years ago.
Deep purple
Joshua tree.
Querkle unfortunately won’t pop for me , they are well over 12 years old.
I’m definitely here to see what she brings!
Nice! Yeah that's my problem, older seeds and the shells are like army helmets 😂

I think the temps maybe dipped too low these past few days in New york and a few seeds are either lagging or aren't going to germinate. I think 2-3 of the king pakal will, none of the "Bogota breeze" and 1 "Grape Enferno" appear to be coming up. Almost all the querkle did, "funky cold medina appears" to be the most cold resistant in the bunch(indica influence?) And about 50% of the zest OG did. And they already look male(stretchy) which is nice. I'm transplanting everything Into soil today, about a week away from their next transplant, probably a month from sexing and 6 weeks until first testers are flowered. In comparison to the Ace Seeds -Purple Zamal x A5 Haze germing next to it, which is now 85%+ above ground and my own seeds at 75%, I think maybe some of the seeds are older stock, and showing less vigor.
How do you sex the seedling plants? Do they just naturally show after an amount of time, or is it flowering then they Reveg once you see? Just curious because I am starting a ton of seeds and it been a few years, last time I grew I just flowered the plants 12/12 from seed and discarded the males but kept full speed ahead with the flowering ladies, but I would like to be able to see what sex a plant is but still be able to keep it vegging, so I can cut the males out without having to waste space and resources on them

I have a few Panama Boquete Up and transferred, The "funky cold Medina" has 1 mutant, nice growth, hood vigor, the sativas are much less cold tolerant.

7/8 querkle successfully germinated and are in soil, one is a seedling with intense grape smells, I hope it's a male.

The King Pakal were unsuccessful, or were not compatible with my grow area.

Same for the grape enferno, maybe 1 survived, and the Bogota Breeze, I think the temp fluctuations in my new grow area made the seeds more susceptible.

2 'Zest OG' survived, stretchy.

I added 8 seedlings of Norstar's "Banana Faction" which is a banana og f2 bred to a sour diesel hybrid. I expect great potency on this one.

I Added 5 'Peace Train'(Mendo purple haze x Jack The Ripper) Bred by Norstar seeds for TGA Subcool seeds. Now unavailable as it was discontinued, I will be making seeds using the best representation I can find, hopefully I can find a male in this 5 plants.

About a five to six weeks before flowering outdoors.
Okay, good to see this is normal! LOL
I usually see guys pop a 5 pack of fems or like a single seed and maybe the freebie it came with, but I have so many varieties I want to pick through and try, and my seeds are older so I have been over here trying to like crazy to get any technique to make them crack and once I figured it out they all started cracking 😜🤣
I put 23 in solo cups last night, still have the others in paper towels and I was feeling like maybe I should slow down hahaha... But my stoner side of me is like whispering "Just pop some of those and a couple of these, maybe a couple more of those..." 🤔
I realized the shell on the older seeds is harder so I found if I keep them in the paper towel longer than normal it seems to work, but the problem is mold or bacteria wants to grow on em before they sprout or right when they sprout and it kills them back, so I had been swirling them around in hydrogen peroxide every morning then rinsing with water and into a new clean paper towel and that seems to help

I believe most plants show their sex by week 6, some later. You will know a female is a female by the hairs it produces vs balls.
20240927_225447.jpg

These are the "balls" or stamen males produce. They contain pollen for seed making, any plant thst has both hairs and balls should be discarded.
