PHAT Filters

Lookig for a little feed back on PHAT Filters and the effectiveness of them, specifically the 6x16 and the 6x24" versions.

Reason is pretty simple. Running a 6" vortex in a 4x2x6 cab with up to and including eight flowering plants. Looking to vent into the same room with no outside exhaust and need something that will contain the issue.

Currently running the ducting to a window, but with winter around the corner this will not be an option.

I love my phat filters way more than my can filters. They are supposed to last longer, weigh less, and are less bulky.

I have the 6 x16" and have had it for over a year and 3 months give or take and it seems to be working great. I'll probably replace it in 6 or 7 months even though they say they can go over two years. I think the factors in that would be how often is it on 12 or 24hrs and how hot the air passing over it is. Not sure though maybe someone else can chime in

I also have a 12" that is amazingly light for its size

I have the mini one for 4" fans... Despite its small form, that thing sucks up odors pretty well, yet allows a decent amount of airflow at the same time. 3 months so far on a 170cfm fan and still going strong.

Top units. At their rated airflow claimed to last 18,000 hrs.
Use the largest filter that you can. This ensures that the carbon has more time to do its thing, this increases its effectiveness over time and therefore your piece of mind.

no but they last 2 years, after 2 years you get 170$ worth of use out of it i'd say, then time to get another....

If u can't grow enough in 2 years to cover a new 170$ carbon filter then u ain't growing right....
