Phantom 1000 DE shutting off

I have 12 Phantom 1000 DE hoods in a grow room. A couple weeks ago 1-4 hoods would be off when i would come in the room, ballasts blinking and i would unplug them and reboot then they'd come back on. I thought maybe it was these old light controllers i was using but i switched them out for 2 8 light controllers, new wires, new breakers. still having the same issue. I cant figure it out. once i walked in and 9 were off. i unplugged the controller and plugged it back in and they all fired up.

anyone ever have a similar issue?
all equipment is about a year old

Are they HPS equipment?Have you changed out the lamps since you bought them? When an HPS lamp approaches the end of it life it will "cycle"on and off to let you know you need to replace the lamp.Other than that I can't really think of anything except possibly some kind of thermal overload mechanism in the fixture that cycles when the temp exceeds specs. If they are HPS find one that is cycling and only replace it,if the cycling discontinues you know you have found the remedy
