pH Skyrockets, Massive Nutrient Lockout?

I transplanted these gals three days ago, into seven-gallon pots, using a store bought soil which I amended with perlite and an organic mixture of feather meal, blood and bone meal, sulfate of potash, calcitic lime, and compost.

Well, a fool of a Took that I am, I forgot that the reason I use this particular brand of store bought soil, is that it already is amended with oyster shell lime.

I tested the pH by making a slurry of my soil mix and equal part tap water (which is mid 7's pH to begin with) and sure enough, I'm looking at a soil pH of well over 8.

In the three days since, the below symptoms have started to present them selves, and progress.

Massive lockout due to the super alkaline mixture is the easy answer, but thought I would check with you wonderful folks to be sure.

My plan is to correct by watering with low pH water until the lime situation balances itself out, as I do not have to time it would take to repot everything again.

Plants are about 45 days from seed.

I think thatll be a good idea, a good flushing at a proper ph or maybe even a slightly acid acid considering the extra lime in the soil :2cents:

So I began the process of fixing the pH last night, starting with a watering of one gallon each of pH adjusted water. While I was at it, I snapped some shots of how the condition has progressed.
