Babies are growing in Black gold Natural organic soil with dolemite lime added nd havent been feed anything but a lil bit of superthirve in the soil when they were planted a week ago. If you're going organic, then you should check out this thread:
Organics and Ph.

One of the best quotes is right near the beginning from BurnOne who knows a thing or two about organics:

My problems disappeared when I threw that damn thing away.
You didn't mention that your plants were showing any signs of troubles caused by the water. Is there a reason that you're concerned about the pH?

If you are using organics and have dolomite lime like you said, then the pH should work itself out. Distilled water would only cause further difficulties as you'd have to cope for the loss of micro-nutrients usually supplied in water.

If there are specific problems or symptoms that your plants are showing, then I would recommend you fill out a report (check the sticky in the top of this forum) and then maybe others can help you further.

Good luck in your travels!

The key to the answer for your first sentence lies in your second! It's the dolomite lime that's pushing your ph run off to over 7, so it's doing it's job, it's nothing to worry about.

I agree with the previous poster, if you're growing organically, you shouldn't concern yourself with the in-going ph, or try to change it. Unless of course your water is from a very unreliable source or has a particularly high ph or TDS level, which is pretty rare anyway and highly unlikely with a municipal water supply.

Yea i'm not gonna worry about it plants seem to be doing fine. although the leaves on one of them are curling upwards which made me think i had a ph problem cause i know its not heat temps are 77 Rh is 42-53%. I will closely monitor them though. Thanks for the input
