pH problems lead to insane topping job!

I am not even sure where to put this thread, but this seems like the best fit.

This is a Wonder Woman plant, from seed, that had some wicked pH problems from the start. At one point in time I thought the plant had killed itself, but then it slowly started to bounce back, and it basically topped itself at the first node.

I wish I knew what I did to this thing, b/c it topping itself at the first node means 2x the clones, and many other benefits. Anyone seen anything like this before?

Not so much a problem, but I wanted to share this with everyone!

They sure look healthy B...
Never had a plant do that by itself. Consider yourself lucky.

i just had a plant that started growing 2 tops at the 2nd node for no apparent reason, was healthy and well fed. It was just a bagseed from oregon. just flipped it to flower and waiting to see if its a female. kinda cool to see a plant top itself. i've heard of it, but never saw it until this plant did it.

Ya man, it is healthy as can be, but the only downside I have seen so far, is that the plant itself must be out growing the root system. Once the root system catches up, this bad boy is going to explode.

I have seen this happen as well.....it also happened at around the 2nd node.....a single primary meristem simply seemed to split into 2 separate yet equal stalks.....
one didn't outgrow the other, they both grew pretty much the same.....

I'm not sure why this happens either, but i see it with trees sometimes......i don't know if it is a response to stress in the root zone or something purely genetic......

:ying: kind regards from guineapig :ying:
