pH pen problem

Hey guys, I have one of those yellow Milwaukee pH pens, and the thing's readings are all over the map. I tried to calibrate it by submerging the probe in the proper solution (btw, the reading never went all the way down to 7.0) and making adjustments with a tiny screwdriver, but no soap--the readings are nowhere near where they should be.

Any ideas how to fix it? I've had this pen for less than a year...prefer not to have to replace it so soon, but I will if I have to.

call milwaukee and see about the warrenty and send it in. I had the same problem with a hanna and they replaced it for me.

Ugh, I think I had one of those Milwaukee pens. Used it for 5-6 months, and it took a shite. I just tossed it, and bought a PhTestr2. It has worked reliably for a couple of years now, and it's waterproof, so it can handle a stoner drop into water :D

mine works fine...did you press the calibrate button and hold untill started flashing

Followed all the instructions, tried to fix it for a few days, then decided that wasting time on a POS pen wasn't worth it to my girls. Milwaukee just makes crap meters, IMHO. BTW, it was yellow and green.

What was the model? I know of their yellow meter but I haven't seen any yellow and green ones.

To be honest, I don't remember (I know, typical stoner answer). :D I bought it because it was cheaper than the PHTestr2, but I do remember it had a non-replaceable electrode, which should've told me something. If/When my electrode goes bad, I can just replace it. :joint:
