ph meter question

I need to recalibrate my ph meter but dont have any buffer and cant get any for a few days,
does any one here know of anythin around the house i could use to calibrate it with?

Using something from around the house kinda defeats the purpose of calibration... You want the utmost accuracy when calibrating your device... The stuff you have around the house doesn't have a guaranteed pH level like a buffer does.

That said, you can still use stuff from around the house to indicate or imply if your meter is in working order or not...

Thanks, i thought just that realy, oh well,
What happened was my son presses the recalibrate button when it was in tap water, im sure it has calibrated to that now, our tap water is usualy 7.1-7.2 .

Any Aquarium store will have a $5 test drop kit. No calibration required.
