PH levels and such

hi,

my plants seem healthy now 10 days into flowering, but my tap water PH is way too high, over 8, so i recently bought me a digital PH meter (pen model) and some adjustment (bionova ph minus) now my question is can i also adjust PH when watering with pure water? or should it only be used when watering with nutes? sorry newbie question..

at this time in the early stages of flowering i water with nutes every three watering, and then pure water in between (3-4 days between every watering) is this okay? i'm thinking about later on using nutes every other watering.. but now i'm mostly worried about my plants getting sick due to the high ph levels but that should be fixed really soon. also will it come as a too big of a shock to my plants when lowering the ph from 8 to eg. 6.2 at once? or should i do that in stages?

i grow in soil from seeds with envirolite 200w (my first grow), top44 from nirvana. nutes are biobizz

thanks!

just my 2 cents....

you should read the labels first before giving it two your plants...ph minus does contain P and is there fore a nutrient...
the best ph minus would be sulfuric acid...i think...and then i dont even know if you can use it every time....its also considerd as a micronutrient....(sulfur)

i use lemon juice if i dont want any chemicals in my water that f00k up my ec\ppm but that im shure thats not the best way two go...but it works for me...
vinagre is also used as a ph -..and non chemical

and get that ph down..ASAP!
you can do it i 1 time...

good luck mate there will be some more info in other posts :joint:

CLF = constant liquid feed. You use a really dilute fertilizer water everytime and not just plain water. This gives the plants a constant source of nutrients rather than being sporadic. You would adjust the ph of the fert water after mixing to about 6. Make sure that 20% of what you apply goes out the drain holes. You want a runoff everytime. If you feel you must use plain water, go ahead and adjust the ph of this too.
