PH in soil help.

So this year is my first attempt at outdoor. I've always been an indoor hydro guy. PH in hydro is extremely important IMO. But when it comes to an outdoor soil grow I have a few question.

1. If I'm adjusting PH in a bucket before feeding with it. Wont it just change s soon as it hits the soil, throwing it out of adjustment?

2. How is soil PH adjusted? Can someone point me to a thread that covers all these issues?

3. Is it possible to adjust the soil PH so that when I add a solution that has been PH adjusted it stays even?

If you aren't following my grow, check out Colorado outdoor, season 1. Thanks ahead of time for any replies.
