ph for soil

This is my first soil grow and I am using FF Ocean Forest potting mix with RO water what should my ph be for soil growing.

Not 100% sure, but I think 6.0 +/- .5

Everything I've ever read lists 6.5-7 as the range. I shoot for 6.6-6.8 as my ideal range with Ocean Forest.

you really wanna try and keep it a little under 7 if possible. It may be in the range, but ive seen problems from other people that tried that ph. (seedlings dieing, plants lockin out nutes ect)

Ocean Forest is supposed to be a perfect PH right out of the bag (that is unless you add stuff to it). You can test the water runoff or buy a meter if you like. Kelway makes the best Soil Testers.

I never used to worry about PH in OF and had the best results using that soil.

Actually the best thing you can do is use 2 tbls of dolomite lime per gallon soil mix,I've had the ph drop below 6 during flower more than once before I started using it.If you use lime and balance your nute ph between 6 and 7 you wont have ph problems.Dont count on the oyster shell to keep the ph up in flower its not enough

ph drops during flower? What exaclty are you trying to say in this post.
