What's up guys? just wanted to know the best/easiest way to adjust ph in my water? Previous grows were all in soil and my water was great for that. Now in a coco setup and need to get the ph down. Thanks for any help

just get urself ph up&down. my water is pretty hard so i usually put 8 drops of ph down in a gallon of h2o and it brings my ph to around 6.5ish. just put a few drops, test it, few more drops if needed etc. etc.

got some vinegar in the kitchen will try that first. Is Ph up and down the same stuff as for fish tanks?

Dude just get some fucking Ph up and down from the hydro store. Dont be a cheap ass and introduce more shit than necessary to your system. Ph up and Down come from ingredients that are already in fertilizers. Ph up will add phosphorous and ph down will add potassium. Just stick with the stuff made for hydroponics and leave the vinegar in the kitchen for cooking.

bullshit. I have gh powdered ph down and its a major pain in the ass. With vinegar its .5tsp in my tapwater for a perfect 6.3 all fucking day. Powder ph down is hard to get consistent results due to clumping, Hard to get a precise measure. I have no hydro shop close to me, and they wont ship liquid ph up & down. Short drive to wally world for vinegar and its problem solved.

I just bought the EJ ph up crystals (sodium bicarbonate aka baking soda), they work great, but not as easy to measure out as liquids.

FWIW I use lemon juice for my down and never had any probs.

What weed will endure shouldn't be confused with what's good for it. Avoid kitchen products for pH control as their effects are temporary at best. pH down is far more effective and hundreds of times cheaper. A drop of pH down does the job of Tablespoons of vinegar. Vinegar and lemon juice are money down the drain.

I have not seen any evidence to show that lemon juice is bad for plants. Maybe it's not, but IME it is benign, especially when compared to all the salts etc. that are found in chem pH solutions.

It's not that it's that bad, it's just god awful expensive and wimpy. pH down is far more effective and a fraction of the price.

I use vinegar when i fill my jugs with tap water, 2-3 days later ph is holding consistent. LOL...vinegar at wallmart, about .99cents for a years worth. Way cheaper than shiping from hydro store. But hey use what ever floats your boat.
