PH down PPM up

This is a bio tube grow.

If one gets root rot because of temps 80 f

And now has the temp to 69-72 f

Does the ph still drift; and ppm still goes up?

I have changed the res and have lowered the ppm about three times.

Room temp is from 70-76
RH is 45-60
Water temp got high because of pump in water.

I know if the ppm goes up and ph goes down that I am over feeding but the ppms are right now 350ppm and ph is 5.7 dropping. PPM out of the tap is 200 I'am in mid flower first time at hydro.

Is this the end of this grow? :badday: :pointlaug

Or can something be done?

If he raises his ppm's and does not correct the PROBLEM first it will lead to other problems like a complete lock out. The reason your ppm is rising is the plants are not feeding. They are consuming more water then nutes and this is why that is happening. So hydropimp, I think you need to flush for a few days with plain water/ or flushing agent and make sure your res temps are kept at 70 or below. After the flush you should mix up your nutes as normal. It may also be that the root rot is the problem and then there is no hope. So do the flush and start over with the nutes and if things still are not better then you may have the answer.

BTW, Whatever you do ignore blackvelvet he is notorious for giving bad info!

No shit! But he must correct the problem first! Why do you live on this site all day? You are not helping people!

What ups everyone I just dumped some H2O2 in the res I have the temp at 69-72

My ph went up and now it is back down but stable and not moving I think alot had to do with the rot.

But my ppm's keep rising but very little. Should I still do the flush what ppm should I flush with stright tap?

First thing I'd do is get some clean water (RO, distilled, etc) and get rid of that tap water your using and up the nutes. Using shitty water only reduces the amount of nutes that you can give the plant without causing lockouts.

Sounds like you haven't gotten rid of the root rot either, so you need to address the temps that caused it in the first place and get rid of any remnants of it on your roots or in the res. That may mean manually cleaning them...as well as using beneficials like hygrozyme (or others) - but using H2O2 after adding any beneficials will just kill them off, so don't add it when you've got them in the res.

How much is your PH dropping over what period of time? How big is the res?

Root was due to temp. Temp is at 73 now

Ph was dropping fast 6.2- 5.2. Now ph is 5.8 after adding h2o2. STEADY.

PPM is about 360 and going up still.

Hygro I have it .

What is perfect water to start with?

I only use RO for mine...there's no guesswork at all - you know there's 0 stuff in it, so you can mix up your nutes exactly like you want them.

Even at 73 you're still gonna be prone to root rot, so make sure to keep an eye on them and make sure there's plenty of oxygenation in there. The PPM going up is probably from dead root particles being suspended in the res...hygrozyme will take care of that, but you gotta get the H2O2 out first or it'll just kill the hygrozyme as it's introduced.

Depending on the health of the plants and the size/strain, you should be able to feed them at least 600-800 ppm by now...probably alot more, but it's always better to err on the side of caution when the plants have been through alot of stress.

If you're in the US, you can get some great quality water from the water vending machines (like Watermill Express) at your local grocery store. The vending machine will state on the side of it what filtration methods are used...just look for reverse osmosis.

Rain water is also usually a very good water...as long as you don't live next door to a chemical plant  My rain water usually is under 20ppm and in the 6.5-6.8 range.
