PH Dosers, Need ones wise input

Hey guys, I'm shopping around for a ph controller/doser for my recirculating system.

I've seen the milwakee and blue lab, and both have huge price differences.

I think the milwakee is around 120 and the bluelab is about 350.

What i want to know is that if anyone here has used either one and if you can let me know how well it works for its price point.

Thank You !:thank you:

get a haach GLI p53/63 analyzer... not the new haach or the one with the rotary encoder, the old one with the high visibility screen and the backlight.

you can get them on ebay for like 50 bucks.

i have 2 53's and a 63.

the yokogawas are very good too, but menue is FUCKING deep and complicated.

the 53 is super simple... you dont even have to read shit, its just a real simple unit.
rosemount makes a buncha good ones too. solucomp i think they are called.

again though, i like the GLI for simple shit like regular ph monitoring and dosing.

the new shit does data logging and has color screens... sd card slots and ethernet communication schemes... yea thats great if you are running a soda botteling plant or some shit, but for what you are proposing the 53 will work just fine.

i think someone on ebay sells replacement displays too.

y0 broman, i searched brought me to some used products ripped from somewhere selling for ~150

you are going to have to wait around to get a good deal on one. like i said they are old units, from the 1990's i believe.

when you say they were ripped... i assume you mean they still had wires and shit hanging out of the knockouts?

thats common for equipment sold on ebay. when you dismantle or upgrade shit they literally jsut cut these things loose, ferrules or crimped terminals be damned.

does not mean that they are bad units... just that they were taking from a working environment.

now... is one of these worth 150? probably to like a plant operator, but if you are looking for a deal, i suggest looking for the other units i mentioned.

the yokogawas are always on ebay... i bought a few conductivty analyzers that were 100% brand new for like 70 bucks just for the 1k conductivity sensors.

just look for ph analyzer on ebay you will see shit loads of them.

this stuff is very common dude. its used all over industry so naturaly these things are all over used equipment auctions.

just make sure you are getting what you expect. read the manuals. yokogawa makes single and two channel ph analyzers.... same with conductivity analyzers. the two sensor units are for detecting a ph or conductivity delta across some process... say paper pulp bleaching.

that delta is what drives the outputs, not any single sensor input.

make sure you are getting something that has real relay outputs, not analogue outputs only.
