PGE & Commercial Power

What's up everyone....

I am looking for information on other people's experience with getting commercial power added to a detached structure on a primarily residential property. The structure on the property has power run to it from the main house. I'm interested in getting a separate meter added to that unit and have it designated as a commercial space or whatever would result in the cheapest rates. I'll be using PGE.

I'd also like to know how much people saved on average(if anything). With the current prices of indoor, the waste generated, and the time required. I'm not sure if it's worth it to run such a small grow. I'm pretty happy with the results of my depo this year and I think they'll only get better as time goes on.

Still from time to time I'd like to run an indoor room.

Thanks and hope everyone is well...

my old lady was getting the care deal at the grow spot. there was no monetary benefit to getting commercial account. was considering making the garage my business shop for welding , forgeing, metal shop ect and getting new line. wasn't worth it.still gonna upgrade wiring anyhow when I get back

I'm not interested in CARE as my tax situation wouldn't allow me to qualify without bending some rules. You also run the risk of them wanting to come out to help improve your energy efficiency, which has happened to some friends of mine. From looking at the published rates it didn't seem like commercial power was cheaper, but it did seem to have higher thresholds as far as not getting your rates bumped up for using too much power. I'll have to look at the charts again.

I wonder if it's possible to get AG power(my understanding is that it's cheaper by far)? I'm basically looking for my best option in this scenario. The property is a few acres, and zoned for agricultural purposes. We do plan on putting a small orchard in as well as having a regular garden.

I would like to just have a small grow for myself, but with such a high E-Bill. It just seems like it's not worth it.
