This is going to get Keystone Kops as they run around bailing out insolvent banks when the near 100 trillion $ derivative bomb goes off.

Better get your sperm built up. You're gonna need LOTS of kids (grandkids, great- grandkids) to pay for half the worlds insolvency.

Printing can only stall the unsustainable debt collapse and revaluation of the dollar.
And that's going to hurt...real bad.

Shit is gonna boom in about 2 more years...relax!
One more caveat to the "Europe doesn't matter" to the global economy fallacy. The EU's GDP is larger than the US. FYI.

KABOOM
Eurozone's double-dip recession shows contagion spreading to 'core' countries

No effect on the US right?

Boom badda boom.

People want to secede from the sinking ships that are these "Unions" and get in their lifeboats.

Green Lung, Cap G, and many more are still dancing on the Titanic claiming that everything is ok even though the music has stopped.

I'm quite comfortable in my delusion. Are you?

100,000 in texas, almost up to .4% Said it before, I'll say it again, this is a bad joke. Even Perry is saying he doesn't want it. When he said it before he was pandering. He knows how stupid it was. Also justice Scalia has already weighed in on something like this, saying it would never even make it to the court.

Id hope so, when you start shit, one would assume it wise to have the testicular fortitude to back it up.

If I may.

Weapons engineering and production is owned by the guys that own the federal reserve, they make money on the deaths and backs of lower class americans, challenge this someone please.. Im begging you...

Gov wants war, needs money.. Federal reserve obliges, loans gov money.

Gov borrows money, and pays Reserve interest, then gives the money back to the Reserve, through avenues of corporations that build weapons..

You are out of your fucking minds if you guys dont think the rich guys dont fucking LOVE war..

Its why republicans are always starting shit..

Osama bin laden was no more a threat to the US than some duchebag in egypt..

Wake the fuck up idiots. *spits on the ground*

Have had enough of this discussion, you guys have no fuckin clue what the "good ol boys" club is up to..

Not a fuckin clue.. We are slaves. This is capitalism at its finest, a fuckin joke...

Will Texas Nullify Both NDAA and TSA?

The Texas legislature will take up two bills designed to protect basic civil liberties in the Lone Star State during the 2013 legislative session.

On Monday morning, Rep. David Simpson (R-Longwood) prefiled The Texas Travel Freedom Act (House Bill 80). If passed, the law would make it a criminal act to intentionally touch “the anus, breast, buttocks, or sexual organ of the other person, including touching through clothing,” without probable cause in the process of determining whether to grant someone access to a public venue or means of public transportation.

The measure also forbids removing a child younger than 18 years of age from the physical custody or control of a parent or guardian. The act would put an end to the most intrusive pat-down searches conducted by the TSA.

“If you walk up to somebody and grab their crotch out on the street, it will land you in jail. Blue uniforms and federal badges don’t grant some goon the power to sexually assault you, or at least they shouldn’t. A person doesn’t forfeit her or his personal dignity or Fourth Amendment protections with the purchase of an airline ticket,” Tenth Amendment Center communications director Mike Maharrey said.

The Texas legislature will also consider a bill that would block any attempt to indefinitely detain people in Texas under sections of the National Defense Authorization Act. Rep. Lyle Larson (R-San Antonio) prefiled House Bill 149, which declares:

It is the policy of this state to refuse to provide material support for or to participate in any way with the implementation within this state of Sections 1021 and 1022 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012 (Pub. L. No. 112-81). Any act to enforce or attempt to enforce those laws is in violation of this subchapter.

The legislation also provides for criminal penalties against any agent attempting to detain persons in Texas without due process under the NDAA. If passed, the law will effectively nullify federal indefinite detention in the Lone Star State.

“With four more years of the man who not only signed ‘federal kidnapping’ into law, but has vigorously defended it in court, there is absolutely zero chance for repeal in Washington D.C. Our last hope is to stand up and nullify,” Tenth Amendment Center executive director Michael Boldin said. “While Representative Larson will likely be derided by the establishment, if you live in Texas, he deserves your praise. And other state legislators need to follow suit. When enough states stand up and say, “No!” to unconstitutional federal acts, there’s not much that Obama and his gang can do about it. The Constitution and your liberty will win.”

Both acts follow the example set by Thomas Jefferson when he drafted the Kentucky Resolution of 1798 in response to the Alien and Sedition Acts and argued nullification is “the rightful remedy” when the federal government oversteps its delegated powers.

“The several States composing, the United States of America, are not united on the principle of unlimited submission to their general government; but that, by a compact under the style and title of a Constitution for the United States, and of amendments thereto, they constituted a general government for special purposes — delegated to that government certain definite powers, reserving, each State to itself, the residuary mass of right to their own self-government; and that whensoever the general government assumes undelegated powers, its acts are unauthoritative, void, and of no force.”

It's not a joke. It's an underlying current that is growing. That is dissatisfaction with the farce of the two party (one party) joke that is Washington DC.

No state is going to seccceed. Not yet anyway. There isn't enough economic pain, but as the standard of living in this country continues it's downward slide as demographics change the chorus will get louder.

People are rioting against the European Union and they will soon riot against the American Union.

National self-determination is an always present undercurrent in large geographical areas controlled by a central power. American's have enjoyed 100 years of hegemony and the states have enjoyed sucking off the central tit for a long time.

When the milk runs out though, as it does in every empire, the people will get restless as they are starting to now.

See the house of cards didn't collapse in 2008. It was just exposed to everyone and then we rushed to prop it up with trillions of dollars (basically future generations' well being). However, it is collapsing now and when it goes this time be it tomorrow or a few years from now there will be nothing left to prop it up and the people will be forced to face the consequences of our economic transgressions .

It is not bliss, for only ignorance of ignorance can be blissful, of which my friend, I am not privy..

Just aware of my stupidity... as Socrates so eloquently puts it...

Whatever. You guys keep buying gold and ammo, I'll keep making money in the terrible economy and buying property. We'll see who's laughing in a couple years. It's not about having an econ degree at all, it's about logic and reason. The Europeans are rioting against austerity. You're assuming the people signing this thing are with you, they're not. trust me. they are pissed Obama won. 90% don't give one single shit about what you're talking about. This happens after every election lately. Do you really believe that the 2008 recession didn't start from a lack of regulation? Do you really believe that the deficit is going to ruin America? Do you think we should be focused on the deficit instead of jobs? We've heard too many loud scary noises lately that don't mean jack.

Who says we don't buy property?

Gold has returned 500% in a decade, how's that for returns?

See, people like me, we do see the bigger picture, we realize teotwawki isn't really the end, just a shift in the reigns of power.

Being able to operate outside of the current regime, and survive when it's gone is going to require more than a handsome 401k and a nice piece of land.

Hard currency, tools for home defense and hunting, tools from farm equipment, to spare parts for vehicles, to non perishible food... Etc..

Laugh all you want, but you'll be stuck with land you probably don't know how to use, no way to protect it, and no currency of real value.... Have fun

best of luck to you

Do you really believe that this didn't all start in 2008 from a lack of regulation?

this didn't start in 2008. it didnt even start in 1908. this trend we're on has been going this way for a long, long time....

In light of your screen name, avatar and general posture in this conversation, I find you to be a bit confusing...

Logic and reason? Logic is the primary function of an NT (intuitive thinker) so you are either a very young thinker or your cognitive bias is deceiving you on just how intellectual you may be...

Perhaps Im replying out of context? I dont see anyone with a favorable disposition advocating "what started this".. That was a 100 years ago and while relative, isnt something the masses are going to comprehend... with me?

The intellects in this thread, whom Ive had some dialogue with, would agree that red or blue, we still lose... what is your position?

ps, I think most people on this website are relatively unaffected by the economy bro... you arent doing anything new, gold will always trump real estate.. pound for pound, its a little more rare than any plot of land, so are you bragging? that is usually a sign of anger.

your just going to love talking to me, I promise.

Who said we aren't making money in this terrible economy? Hand over fist baby, but I'm in the oil industry. I love property too. Waterfront real estate is the investment of the future IMO. Loading up on it.

While I like gold I like diversifying into silver bullion too because of the convergence trade given it's depressed historic ratio to gold. And the fact that buying silver bullion fucks over JP Morgan.

You should consider taking delivery of some of your fiat paper too. If the EU banks blow up they will blow our banks up again too. Remember "systemic risk." They are way more leveraged now than in 2008 so when they start taking serious write downs due to the coming EU recession they will be fucked liquidity wise once again.

If you haven't noticed they are in a state of rolling liquidity crises in Europe and sinking fast. It won't be long before that systemic risk spreads here. From the graph above you can already see our manufacturing sector is contracting. GDP will be right behind it.

Central banks are running out of bullets now too so once they can't backstop this bullshit anymore we will revert to the mean.

Logic and reason brother. Indeed. Beware of your cognitive dissonance.

Logic and reason, indeed. I couldn't avoid the two if I tried, it's just how I'm wired, for better or worse. No assumptions are being made here, I assure you.

"I'm sticking with the Union" All you sore losers can fly away. Your really think forming your own country will be any better? You could import real jamaicans & columbians slaves to grow your weed. Get over it, Barack Obama is President and he won fair and square. America is not broke. We still the a top producers of gold, steel, oil, coal, natural gas, timber, wheat, corn, soybeans. Sure the accounts are overdrawn and we are running up debt, but broke? Ban Republicans from office-they ran up the debt. Come on, winners never quit and quitters never win.

I could care less about O winning or losing. I don't like to speak for people, but I reckon most here would be saying the same thing if Mittens had won. I know I would.

Two shades of the same color my friend. You are missing the point entirely.

You are right though that there probably wouldn't be this petition going around if Mittens had won. Most signing it are Red Team flag wavers representing the other side of the status quo, but what I am and many others in this thread are saying is that there is an reason for all of this.

Me signing that petition was a fuck you to the central government. I care not what color suit the puppet in the White House wears.

Not bragging at all. I just don't understand why if you guys understand what's happening and are also able to profit off of it, why are you so angry about it, and why do you think it's all about to end(which is maybe why you may seem to be angry about it?)? The world is not about implode guys, at least not for economic reasons. What do you not understand that I've said? My avatar and sn I'm talking about my hobby that we are on this site for out in the real world I never talk about it. This is the only place that provides me a place to talk about mj. I'm not mad at anyone here especially Gramps as he seems like the only one talking to me that understands anything except govt bad.

My position is yes the govt is run by corporations. The govts job to control business, not the other way around. Only problem is I am under no delusion that a "free market" would be a benevolent overlord.

Unspoken, there is another level of thinking some of us are involved with, some real big picture stuff you lack the eyes to see with, I understand humility and futility, so with that sir,

Good day.
