Pest Question

Long time lurker, first time poster here. I've done some searching, but haven't found enough info.

I recently started my first grow. The plant was transplanted after about 3 months of being outside. The soil we transplanted with was seasoned outside for about a week.

I've noticed an abundance of 2 types of insects in the soil. I'm pretty sure some are soldier fly larvae. There are quite a few of these. The second, I'm pretty sure, are aphids. Tons of them in the soil, haven't seen any in the plant. Are these insects detrimental?

The plant has received tobacco infused waterings and sprayings. This is the only pest control I have tried.

I would love some advice about pest prevention and control. Maybe some direction towards a thread if this has already been discussed. Apparently my searching skills suck.

Here's a picture of what I think is a soldier fly larvae. The aphids, if that's what they are, are too small and quick to get a picture of.

I don't have experience with those specific pests but I would keep spraying the plants until you get a couple Weeks into flower. I'd also work some neem oil and spinosad into the mix. I've had bug problems that I didn't think were an issue so I stopped treatment and always regretted it. Just my two cents.

Thanks. I know the soldier flies can only live one generation inside. I think the other might be root aphids.

Thanks. Yes, it was in a pot outside. When I transplanted, I washed the root ball pretty well, so maybe that prevented some carry, over. The plant looks like it's doing great. Just worried about the bugs.
