I live in the desert and grow in a basement. It is winter. 35 night 7o day. Is there any need to use pest control and what is good if so. Biggest thing hear is mites and affides. I just entered 4th week of 12/12. Air is exhausting out of house and inlet is just coming from the upstairs. Appreciate any info.

Just coming from outside into your grow area can bring pests into your garden, especially if the neighbor just got done mowing and blowing all those microscopic pests into your yard..preventative pest control is always best pest control!!! And you dnt have to spend a fortune to prevent like you do when your trying to rid pests of your grow..go to Lowe's get ya some been and spray it once a wk.not only will it help prevent pests it's great for your plants..

I guess at this point I shouldn't use any thing if I don't have bugs. What are some good things too use if I do get some. Aphids are common and mites.

He meant Neem oil. Damn auto correct I'm sure.

The best way to prevent pests is to not introduce clones without quarantine period. Do not go from outside then into the grow area with the same clothes. And clean clean clean. A dialed in clean environment and healthy plants solves a lot of problems before they arise.

if you have mites use predators bugs like lady bugs and predator mites.

i just have a regiment to avoid bugs like they have all stated above.

no animals ever near the grow, no shoes clean clothes.

neem oil. azamax. and if you actually get mites i recommend green clean or straight up AVID.

AVID works but you have to spray it atleast 50 days before last day of flower.

preventative measure are the best way to avoid bugs

I hear neem oil leaves bad taste when used in flower and some say no. What's your thought if I happin to need it?
And should I just use it to prevent?

clean like a laboratory and inspect your plants non stop. its better to catch a problem as early as possible. much easier to correct that way

I do every thing I can. Just worried in case it happens. I grew once long time ago and were clones. Was fine till flower then got spider mites. Holy hell they suck. My mentore left town so was on my own. Worst ever. Now that I got all these replys i come to the conclusion prob came from person I got them from. I just sprayed with water. Alcohol. Pepper. Nothing helped. Havest early and was good bud but only got bout 2 oz off 3 plants

Two and half months in flower. They sure slowed it up and covered buds completely in webs. Cut it early so not all of them
