Peshawar Afghani?

So anyone with experience on this strain?

Came across a listing for it, but looks sold out for a long time now,

Looks to be an unusual Afghani sativa something more like an India sativa or Nepali sativa, ,like a charas cultivar that was than selected for hash production... Very unusual look

Anyway seems like something I would like to play with....

Are these around anywhere?

There is some mazar sharif out there. Giant towering long flowering indica. They can get massive and easily flower into november. More indica high though.

Thanks, I found the one TRSC has...sounds very much the same...

Certainly different than a dutch mazar, I wouldn't have been looking for it under that name.

Very cool, seems like a hearty plant to breed with for outdoors...not sure to what yet, but fun...maybe Jamaican bm

Rsc is the real deal. Its an open pollination F2 of the original seeds collected. No dutch in there. Ive grown many of his offerings, including mazar.
Just make pure copies too. Might be hard to get in the future.

4 packs of paki peshawar at great lake genetics w/ free pack of Acapulco Gold ....

going, ........ going ............. gone tick tock ...

It's sad that there is no more info about Peshawar Afghani from Malberry....

I have the intuition that Tropical Seed Co has recovered this genetics, as for Zambia .... and they named it "Old Afghan" ......

I have a pack of these that I received as freebies. Not sure what the age of them might be - I know they had been listed for ages. Supposedly the longer flowering, NLD Afghanis predated the BLD types and were considered to be higher quality from what I understand. Not sure when I'll get to them since I have other pure Afghan lines that will take precedence.

I wonder if this might be similar to or the same line used in Snowhigh's "Heart of Darkness"?

Yeah these long flowering indicas or columnar mountains sativa would be really cool to do some breading projects....with the right f1 combo I bet massive yields could be obtained ...crossed to something early and branchy like c99

I have about 40 of the Malberry Peshawar Afghan. They are very very old seed. I think a good germination method with possible implementation of peroxide will have to be employed. Would be interested to see if anyone can get the original seed to germinate.

Also, quite a few years ago there was talk that the line Malberry sold under Peshawar Afghan wasn’t From Afghanistan at all, but was a South African variety they renamed. Malberry worked out of SA and quite a lot of their genetics were African (if I remember correctly). Not sure how true any of the above is but something to keep in mind. The pictures I saw of the Peshawar Afghan looked very NLD indeed..

I’ve never heard that but it could be true. All the malberry listings, including the one surviving listing on hempd**t, all say “100% Pure Peshawar Afghan”.

I was sent my seed by a company who dealt with Mayberry for free. They told me the germ rates were low and that was quite a few years ago.

I grew Malberry's Peshawar afghan some years back . It is a NLD cultivar and straight on sativa . I grew indoors and vegged till the plants were three feet high which was a huge mistake . She stretches like crazy and takes a good 14 or so weeks to finish .

My buds came out wispy and I ended up making bubble hash out of the end product which ended up black and gummy with excellent stone .

If you plan on growing these indoors I suggest you start flowering at 12/12 and avoid a lot of the stretch
