PERLITE 2 SOIL QUESTION

ok, i have this 2 month old clone in a 16 oz dixie cup, that needs a home, usually i'm a hydro type guy, but i've done run out room, so it will have to go in a 8" soil pot (it's the last of a favorite strain). now, it's currently in a per/ver mix, should i completely remove it and clean roots, or should i just transfer roots/per/ver all into pot? if i do this though, won't the roots in the per/ver not get the nutes from soil like they were with the liquid feedings? i hope this question makes sense...

Just transplant it man. Why mess with the roots when you don't have to? Most of it will probably crumble away naturally when you do transplant.

Nutrients and water will be absorbed.

I'm a dirt farmer, and I use a aero-cloner to root my clones. I put them in a 16oz solo cup filled with straight perlite (or a mixture heavy on it lately, like shown in the pic) when they show first root.
When I see roots comming out the cups drain holes, they go in a gallon pot of 50/50 peat/perlite(potting soil).

Straight perlite grows roots fast

BACKCOUNTRY: I clone the same way. Do you always transplant them so earlyfrom them showing roots? I usually let them go a week in the bubbler till a stronger root system develops. Would love to know if you get consistent success with your appraoch, as it will help me shave a week off the cycle.

PEACE,
FG

foxygrower-All I know is I have too many rooted clones right now, and nowhere to put them, LOL!

I rarely lose after this point, but i am not saying this is the safest bet, its just the way I learned to do it. If I let the roots get much bigger, I run the risk of snapping them off pulling them through the cloner lid.

AHHHH. See i just cut the whole lid up with scissors.... its Gladware covered in cloth tape. But yeah, I have WAY too many clones, the best kind of problem you can have :D

PEACE,
