At week three of flower, it's getting to be a nice jungle in there:

Nice little buds coming along - I'm confident this round will do Peak C99 seeds justice. Those are the pics of my "#2" keeper clone.

Here's one of my discontinued "#3" clone:

Here's clone #2 as she stops stretching and starts growing buds:

And here is her sister, the #3 clone that, on her first flowering, smelled like oranges (*edit* - I made a mistake, this is the grapefruit one - it was #1 that smelled like oranges):

Bonus shots - Gelato #33:

Not to question your record keeping...but 5 weeks? Those seem to be behind schedule, no? My current run looked like that at 2.5 weeks, and I recall peaks sweet c99 being quick as well.

Hi Fitzera, thanks for stopping by. I started my flowering count from the first day of 12/12 lighting, which was on February 8. All of those pics are of only one of the females, my #2 clone. My #3 clone starts maturing earlier at a faster rate. Virtually all of #2's maturation occurs between now and the next 2 to three weeks. Curiously, while #3 starts maturing earlier, both #2 and #3 finish on the same day, between weeks seven and eight.

Interesting.
I also count from day one, the only difference this time round is the week prior to the "flip", I actually lowered the daylight by an hour each day until I hit 12/12...which could very well be why i seem to be further along.

Regardless of all that, it's looking very good in there! Cant wait to see them at the end! Great work

Thanks for the compliments, Fitzera. Also, I like that progressive daylight shortening method - it's more like what happens naturally. I'm going to have to experiment with that.

Missed this thread the first time around.
Happy growing, and thanks for reporting.

Very genius-esque zig-zagging. I didn't expect to see that in a C99.

After finally getting an indoor flowering room set up, I'm having another go at my Peak Seeds C99 #2 - the keeper female I chose from the pack. Here she is at day 7 of flowering:

That's what I was thinking...

I didn't expect to see that in a C99.

That's what I was thinking...

The original BG F1 clone I had was a grapefruit pheno, more like the one I'm growing now that I call #3 (sister to this one) - it didn't zig zag. But, this one is more like a pineapple pheno - I know less about its common traits than I do about the grapefruit pheno, so I really don't know how unusual it is to see that.

What a big difference a mere week of flowering made.

A week ago:

And now, a week after:

The buds on my #2 pheno have at least doubled in mass and they've caught up to their #3 pheno sister:

They're just starting to strain their little stems and frostening up nicely.

Poking her head out of the tent:

I'm really pleased.

My suspicions about the first grow of these from seed have been confirmed (at least as to yield). I'm expecting terps, canabinoids and overall medicinal effect to be greater when these clones are finished than they were in their first sub-optimal grow.

I'm hopeful her true qualities thus revealed will be even closer to the old school original than the fairly close approximation I had discerned in her first grow!

Wow that’s amazing progress in just a week!

Wow that’s amazing progress in just a week!

Welcome and thanks for posting Happy Times!

This #2 pheno normally puts on almost all her weight in the last 20 days of flowering.

But, unbeknownst to me at the time, when I took the week 5 pics last week, I had a serious PH problem - it was too low for about four days before I corrected it. The week 6 pics I just posted are only three days from when I adjusted the PH back up to where it was supposed to be.

So, I think the week five pics show a plant that was not up-taking nutrients and had stopped growing over the previous four days - thus, the dramatic turnaround.

Due to the delay, I think I'm letting this one go 56 days before harvest.

You were right to question the flower time, Fitzera - seems like her growing had been on pause for four days before I took that pic. PH too low. I adjusted and they doubled in mass over the course of the last three days!

Good thing you caught that! Looking like you're back on track, nice work!

Thanks, Fitzera! Yeah, that's the kind of thing that can destroy a grow if not caught within a few days. As it stands, I've mostly just suffered some burnt leaf tips and harvest will come a few days later than normal. The buds are already bigger and more resinous than they were at harvest when I had my first sub-optimal grow of clone #2. So, I think it will only improve in what I think will be the last seven days of flowering. I'm going to also increase the dark period on my timer every day from today until harvest. Then, I'll leave it at that level for a week or so after harvesting the C99 to let the longer flowering Gelato #33 and FireOG to finish a few days earlier than usual.
