Hey OJD. I purchased a pack of Strawberry Cookies from one of your UK vendors last year. I popped one seed and didn't take very good care of it and ended up with a sad looking poor yielding plant that still had a nice buzz and strong strawberry aroma. I had saved some cuttings and decided to give them another run. These pictures were taken today, 58 days after flip. I let the seed plant succumb to the knife after 61 days but it was in sad shape and looked done sooner. I figured it had shut down early because I treated it so poorly. Now this time around I juiced up the soil and turned down the LEDs and the plant maintained mostly healthy growth throughout flowering. The recommended flowering time for this strain is 63 to 70 days but this one looks ready to chop at 58 days. Plus the bud structure is a little more stout than I would expect from this cross. Is it possible that the vendor sent me the faster flowering, denser strain Strawberry Jones Cookies? I'm happy with this plant either way but am curious if you think these buds have some Casey Jones influence.
Obviously I didn't manicure this branch before taking the photo. I included it to show the bud density. This next one is a little healthier.
And a couple of closer shots ...
These clones responded amazingly well to my renewed efforts compared to my total failure with the seed plant. At about 6 weeks into flowering branches started sagging from the bud weight and I had to do some emergency staking just to keep them upright and get them to the finish. Now I'm just trying to find the sweet spot for harvest. Looking forward to any input. Thanks.
