i never thought of that JimH4alpert, but i bet that would be better than any sort of micro pulley system that would take up space

Man... :-(
My first post and I already have question for ya.. :bashhead:
Would it be wise to glue two PC vents together to get the double extracting power or would they just cancel each other?!

Didn't want to start new therad just for this..so...any answer is more than welcome!

i've tried to mount my power strip with the same kind of simple sockets and I found that velcro never worked. The weight was always too unevenly distributed and ended up pulling the velcro apart. For my PC i ended up just getting some serious double stick tape and taping the power strip at the highest point my case would allow. Then, you can just use VHS tapes or CDs or something similar to raise and lower the plants as needed.

Hello PC growers. I've built a 70w hps server case and put the light in a cool tube with intake and outake fans, but my temps areover 90 just 30 minutes after I turn it on. The outake fan for the cool tube is rated 50cfm and the input was weaker. And for the server case I have the same outake fan with an even weaker input fan. Should I get a more powerful intake fan? or a more powerful outake fan?? Please help.

more powerful exhaust and run a passive intake, that should solve your heat issues

Thanks for the reply rkrone, do you think a 100cfm fan would do it for a 70w hps?

I'll post a thread once I got things under control.

What would be some good strains, for a grow this small. Yield wise. I was thinking maybe some hashberry or chronic. 10-15 grams per plant 70 watt HPS.

everyone loves the ease of growing hashberry, as well as its overall quality so that might be a better suited strain for your grow

Can someone please help me? I'm planning on doing my first PC grow, and I don't really know how I would go about putting everything together. I've grown sketchily in a smaller cab a couple years ago, but I want to do things right this time. Proper lighting, size, ventilation, etc. Thanks again.

that question should read: will a carbon filter in the case eliminate all the smell?

yes, it would ensure the plant stink would leave your pc
