mylar is flammable, so dont give it a reason to ignite....if your fans are working properly and your lights arent touching the mylar then you will be fine, i have a 70w hps inches away from some mylar and i havent seen any melting or burning of any kind....and if it is freaking you out then just use some flat white paint

doobieman it depends on many things. Wat strain u going to grow , if u will use regular seeds so u dont kno if they will turn to females (both plants) or u going to use female seeds. Depends if u will lst ur plants. If u are begginer or u are advanced grower.
From two Female plants i guess about 25 dried grams but some growers easily gets more.
Check out some finished grow diaries. So ya will kno wat u can do best to pull out as much as u can from ur plants.
U can even get two grams out of two plants if u will screw up ur grow :D

i have never gone into flower in my pc, it is for mothers and clones only, 70w of hps vegging goodness....but with a scrog and 2 clone plants i think maybe 28-56g if i ran it through a full cycle.

as for dimensions i will have to measure it.

Hey guys... Was hoping you could throw out some Light mounting options for my case...

I'll be using a 27w CFL(100w equivalent) 6500k, and a 23w(100w equivalent) 2200k

Heres a pick of the Case, and below that is the type of sockets I'll be using... For now.. Unless i can get some better ideas to mount these lights.

I've already measured the top, and the lights will be a VERY tight fit not impossible to go the width of the case(6.5"w). I've thought about running them pointing straight down, and then putting them facing each other sort of like:

----------------------
=[ ]III <-lights-> III[ ]=

if that makes any sense?

Anyway.. pics of the case and light/socket

Edit- Dimensions of the case: 15.5"Lx18.5"Hx6.5"W

you got the right idea mushu, mount them in a way that uses them as efficiently as possible.

having small temp problem

having small temp problem

I've done a couple repairs to my pc case, and everything is fine except temps are at 85 average, trying to get that down. I'm running on a 85 w. CFL. The dimensions are 19" (L) x 8" (W) x 26" (H). What do you guys think the minimum wattage I could use and still produce decent buds? Would a 42 W cfl be enough?

Thanks rkrone... But how do you guys mount your lights? what sort of materials you guys use to keep em in there, sadly all i can think of to save space is to take some 14g wire and wrap it around the base of the bulp between bulb ballast and socket and just let it hang, but that could be dangerous...

I've almost wanted to buy little tiny pulleys so i can keep the lights like 1-4" from the top of the plants through out the growth and then just mount them some how to the top of the case. My only problem is I have no clue where to find that sort of thing haha

Any help an suggestions mounting the lights would be great :)

Otherwise.. Google here i come to find some mini pulleys

If your setup allows, designate an entire power strip to your lights and using the AC/Light bulb sockets you have fits as many on there as you can... to mount this to your case i suggest some serious velcro, sounds cheap, but if it is you probably arent gettin the good stuff... then attach velcro to the back of your power strip (a hefty amount) and then create strips on the wall of your case, this will make adjusting your lights up and down very very simple (simple as velcro).

Also if you dont like that idea i still suggest you still incorporate an idea that allows your lights to point perpindicular to your plants (or sideways as opposed to pointing straight down, if you hold the light while its turned on sideways and then point it straight at you, you will see the side has more exposure and a bit brighter.)

And if you use that power strip be sure to black out the LEDs on it
