Well now that I have posted my PC thread I should stop in here and say hello to all the PC growers. I am only using my for veg so I don't get to throw any cool budshots in but here is my rig.

i hear ya mr. ed- my case is strictly veg also...nothing wrong with that, it means we can veg till the case is overflowing with vegetation and then empty it and start all over

Hey guys. I got a quick question.

I have (2) of these 42 Watt Fluorex bulbs. However, they do not plug into a regular lamp socket. I know I need a ballst or something.

Could someone please kindly point me in the right direction of something that would let me gain access of using these beatiful bulbs (inside a PC case, so it need to be small)

Anyone have any help?

you need a mogul socket (i think thats the name for the size you need) and the ballast for that light

You could score a mogul socket at lower or homedepot or even ebay. I believe those are a medium base though. If it screws into a regular house light socket, then it's medium. If it's too big, then it's mogul. As for the ballast, no clue. It looks like its not self ballasted.

You guys have inspired me to even greater levels to make a succesful stealth grow box, however I never thought I would make one out of a pc.
What are the reccomended minimum dimentions of the pc case?
I know my current pc would be much too small, and I have a spare laptop (never going to grow in there) and an old pc but I have no idea if it will be big enough.

Well a decent height is good for flowering and a decent width is good for fitting the biggest pots possible. I think on average cases are around 45cm tall and 18cm wide - so look for something like this or perhaps bigger. Possibly a full tower/server case

Don't think you'll need those kind of fans for a PC case. Growing in a PC case, use PC fans

PS. Maybe look into a 70watt HPS for the PC.

I had to end my first grow because of broken HPS and it's end for... I don't know how long. I'm not sure when I'll start again but I'll be still wathing your grows my friends. Just keep it green!

RGDS-sorry to hear about your hps,...hopefully you get it worked out sooner or later,but you did get some nice litttle buds,and that WhiterussianXafghan looks so cool,like a mini plant!.......its allmost like if it were legal,people would have the same little plants all around there house lol
