paying for college

Well I am 18 years old (in january :bigjoint: ) and I will be going to college in the fall. The school is right near home so I will be staying at home. I didnt like the idea of being in debt as soon as im out of college so I decided
that I will be doing a 15lb comercial grow out side. I allready know I am going to do it. I was just wondering if any one wanted to help me out buy posting up links and advice to any thing about outdore comercial growing...

I need a very early finishing strain because I live in the most northern state in the usa (maine) also how many plants do you think I will need? im thinking fem seeds...

ps. im worried about finding dealers to sell this stuff to. I hate dealers and having to deal with them just worries me.

Outdoor grow forum would be the place to go,a student loan and a pell grant is what you need right now,not a 15 lb outdoor grow.Go to college,grow a few plants outside,grow some inside if the oppurtunity arises.Hunting for "drug dealers" shows a lack of any preplanning or even much thought.You're not ready for a 15 lb outdoor grow nor should you be at 18,and no I'm not Dr. Phil..

what TA said. You'll get in trouble if you're new at this and start such a large grow. Start with 20 plants, that's allready good cash if you sell all of it. Work your way up from there if you want but i wouldn't do it.

You would probably have better luck taking loans now and trying to grow it back later. Focus on school and enjoying life now. Those are some good years ahead of you, why ruin it with prison time and/or paranoia.

Enjoy your schooling and maybe when you're done you'll come up with a legal way to make the $$$ back.
Just imagine if you do it and one week before harvest the whole thing gets scooped by LEO or fire or rippers or..or...or....

I worked my way through college and survived. I got BOG and PELL grants. I did work/study jobs (I tutored dyslexic students, taped books for sight impaired students, bio lab assistant) plus I cared for an elderly stroke victim (he could almost manage alone, but couldn't cook and hated housework) for a few hours, three days a week. I got food stamps. I tutored on the side. And I partied with the stoner kids who thought I was a cool old lady (mid 50s) and kept me high when I was out. Between all this I kept a roof over my head, my family fed and I graduated with honors. It can be done!- Granny

I do believe that Minnesota has the farthest north point... but anyways. College pays for itself after you graduate. So even though I'm going to have over $60,000 in debt, I should be able to make that back using my education.

But im gona do it any ways and if I get ****ed then I get ****ed if not college is paid for.... im sure that i will age and mature and once I am older I will see how dumb I was.....isnt that how life works.

The United States is the land of oppurtunity, and since you live in the U.S. there are plenty of legal ways to make money. Go to college, grow enough herb just for yourself (and maybe a friend or two), don't tell anyone, and look into legal ways to make money. Yea being in debt sucks, but prison is worse. A lot of people in college will buy and sell books... just buy other people's books for more than the bookstore is offering and but them on half.com. You probably won't make a fortune but enough to live.

get all the loans and grants you can and rent an apartment and start a 3kw grow op immidiately,the money from the loans will be paid back on your first crop,plus!!!and if it dont work out,well your only 18,plenty more shots in life,forget outdoor,take all the free money and make more free money!!!

yeah my advice if yer gonna grow, grow with the passion as if you didnt need the money...for most of us here that are fortunate enough to grow it starts as a hobby, sure its also our primary source in some cases...but believe me itll come easier that way, and if you MUST grow do it on a small scale and pay for whatever ya need to now, not a 15lb commerc-op to pay for it at once

matt, one of the most important grow tips is never have the money from a grow spent until the grow is finished and gone. many things can happen man.

any extra funds that i have go into my son's college fund so i guess we're thinking on the same level. just very different circumstances.
