Pasteurizing Hash? Is it possible to pasteurize hash? I was thinking of this as an idea for sterilizing pieces of hash. This should prevent any kind of molds from growing in the piece of hash, I'm thinking. Any one else have any thoughts on this?

Make sure your hash is dry before placing it in a sealed container. Pasteurizing hash would not be a good idea, because the heat will degrade your product.

I have read about people activating/decarbing stuff that they(poeple) are going to make into eatables and it involves heating their stuff up in an oven at around 120 degree's for 30-60min.. This would be almost exactly about the same except it would be for a few hours of duration.

There are other processes out there that people do, like making butter, which exposes the product to way more of a higher range of heat then what pasteurizing temps ever would.

I feel like as long as your hash is dried and stored properly mold should be a non issue..
