So where are the safe and cool places to toke it up in Mexico?

I'm thinking that I will make a trip down for Christmas holidays and I wonder if anyone has some suggestions.

I was thinking Cabo Wabo because it's Sammy Hagar's place..

Go south....Oaxaca and Chiapas both are lovely states and theres plenty of places to go there...I'll start from Puerto Escondido and maybe somewhere in the lagoons nearby and then to the mountains in Chiapas...San Cristobal is a nice city and the surrounding areas are beautiful...only been to Guerrero, oaxaca and Chiapas but with all these killings happening in the north, Juarez etc, doesnt sound safe to me, over 3000 dead in less than a year me thinks..

If it were me, I'd still be careful. Possession of up to five grams is not cause for arrest under the new law. But for example, delivery laws are still the same in Mexico. Passing a joint to a buddy is considered delivery, the sentence for which is 4 to 8 years (goes up to 17 years max if recipient is a minor).

And Mexican cops will continue to shake down tourists. Say you have four grams in your pocket, the cop finds it, then he pulls some more from his pocket and says it's yours. So you bribe him, or go to jail. Mexico is still Mexico

There is plenty of good weed in Mexico, just be discrete - keep it off the street, don't get ripped off, and watch your back. Mis dos centavos

Belize rocks.. english is the national language and it has the largest diving reefs.

Read an interesting book about an english squaddie (er.. "a GI") who smuggled (and eventually got caught) weed from belize by sending it home by military post. lol. Unfortunately can't remember the name of the book, offhand.

I think it's really a stretch to assume that anything will change for touristas. I can almost guarantee you're not gonna be able to sit in CaboWabo and toke though. I hope i'm wrong but I don't think so. Cabo Wabo is the most expensive bar/ club in Cabo. Pretty much USA prices. They usually have decent music though.

i can tell you many stories of party in mexico...i've lived only a couple hours to the border my whole life...my buddy everytime he went down there he'd get fucked with by the mexi cops..homeboy said he was always having to shell out 20-50$ to not go to jail over some bs...i will say while it's even cheaper to go into mexico now, shit is hella hectic down there...the 3k dead are only the one's reported....but if you feel you an yours are impervious to bullets an kidnapping rocky point an peurto picaso are some nice beechs...peace az

THere are many cenotes there, I dove a few cenotes, fresh water caves, they are truly amazing.. lots of fresh water fish in them. the color is incredible, I stayed in a village caled xpuha and xhiaha, just a little norht of TULUM, lot's of gorgeous german women too, good MOHTA. Always wear condom, don't leave packs in the trunk of a rental car seems all people have the same trunk key, all of my friends bags were stolen out of a lcked trunk.. in playa del carmen.. Nce place still plenty of crime... i taught yoga and played music at puerto adventuras, ... TUlum is crazy nice, the town has great tamales and coffe with latin jazz. I went there alot for coffee. be careful of the jellyfish in this area.. but it's really close to belize.

Best to go to smaller out of the way tourist destinations, like Tulum where there isn't a lot of drug money floating around.

Of course crime follows the tourists so always be on your guard!

you can find a crazy sheet load of artifacts like pottery and gold (and skeletons) in cenotes. Cenotes were a big part of Maya cosmoreligion and it was believed to be the pathway to Xibalba the underworld. The one at Chi'chen Itza was used for sacrifice to the rain god Chac.
If you think of how the whole area is pockmarked with cenotes and how that can be a result of a huge asteroid impact, and how it's almost 100% certain now that the asteroid that hit 65mya did hit the Yucatan...it's pretty cool to see people recognizing something that happened 65.99 million years before there were even people at all

Ive just came from yucatan... for me is one of the expensives areas that ive been travelling... talking about cancun, playa del carmen and resorts around.... more expensive than ibiza...
I rent a car and i didnt have any problems,,, went to cenotes, snorkle in there, reefss,wild turtles, mantas.... coba was the nicer ruins , better than itzen itza (sounds like basque the mayas))
I bought sinsemilla and oil hash, but prices like in holland and u.s.,,,, really nice sativa with no seeeeddsss... had luck , met some rich mexicans in the hotel..... and al iberian I speak good spanish
The rest of spaniards that where in the hotel they bought the tipical brick with too many seeds , sticks and leafs.... impossible to make a joint....
Probably the best place at mexico could be oxaca, chiapas too...
For relaxing and no thinking,,, quintana roo....

Obviously you got ripped off paying US/Dutch prices, I've been to Cancun many times and it's not hard to find cheap weed, just gotta get out of the resort.

Of course i could buy cheaper, but all i saw was with seeds,, and i can tell u that was really cheap,,, but for my week at yucatan i prefer to pay more for a good sinsemilla ,,,, and i lived in the u.s. , i could buy decent sexymexi,,, but always with some seeds,,, Did u find hash oil there??
It was really good sativa mejicana.... thats like u go to marroco,,, u can buy hash fucking cheap.... but if u want good hash,,, u have to pay it...
As a said, that area is for tourist, and is more for U.S. tourism and rich mexicans.... than for europeans....
