Paris in summer

I did think about that but it`s fairly pricey by train or plane, im not gonna be in Paris for so long so with the time travelling to dam and back it wouldn`t be worth it i dont think, plus mrs secret would go crazy

I did the Paris visit as a daytrip, flew from Amsterdam at 7:30AM, spent the day in Paris and was back in Adam that evening. Yes it was pricey, and a busy day, but worth it to me. I am of the opinion that scoring in Paris will be difficult at best. Good luck and have a great trip!

well well i must disagree on the food with you thc123 (^^) there are so many different plates and good meals that you will always find your needs.. but of course best way is to meet with french people who cook !
and the city has a nice part, it is cool to visit once, but i definetly love amsterdam more (and not only for the legalised herb side!)
On the smoke, we totally agree. there is almost NO way you ll get some decent smoke in paris if you don t know anybody. you have soapbar which can be found, but usually very poor quality, always laced.
if from the us, i m pretty sure if you try to smoke that soapbar you ll end up throwing up all over.. that s how bad it is, but most french people put so much tobacco in their joints that you can t feel how bad hash is.
I am french and not proud of this, but this is a fact.
i ld say look for buds rather than hash and you have more chances to find good stuff (probably from netherlands), but also a lot of risk to get glass laced herb.. bad.
If you usually can stop smoking for a few days, i would not smoke anything there, except if you re lucky enough to meet some growers..but they hide, police is around and very nasty these days...
and if not, go to amsterdam, around 120euros if taken early, 4hours by train, and buds everywhere!

I spent a month in France years ago, camping, bike riding, following the Tour de France. I did fine communicating with the locals, even as an American with poor spoken French (I can understand it more or less OK, but speak poorly). In general people were nice, and would speak more slowly and even put up with my horrible accent. Some people even switched to Spanish, a much easier language for me.
In Paris, though, it was completely different. I was immediately branded an ugly American, and it was very clear that I was not to be spoken to, until my French improved.
Nothing about the weed scene here, just relating my experiences with Parisians being very different than the rural French.

My spoken French sounds so bad that, it if were English in the USA, everyone would tell me to go away and come back only when I could speak the damn language. I just found Paris (and Germany) to be the more intolerant areas of Europe with respect to poor language skills.

Im going wi the family and kids so i wouldn`t get away with it unfortunately, i`ll probably be able to grab a caramello to take with a bit luck

It's still a mystery to me as to why anyone would willingly travel to Paris. The city is expensive, xenophobic, and literally every square meter of the place smells like piss. On top of all this the weed tolerance is a big zero. Why not go to Amsterdam, Prague, Copenhagen, Berlin, Brussels, or Madrid. You will have a much better time in any of these cities. France is beautiful and rich in culture, but Paris is a big shit stain on the map.
Its because feckin Eurodisneys there, believe me if i was going away myself Paris would be far from my choice

was in paris last year, and if you know no one, forget getting decent smoke... either bring your own or you WILL be disappointed! the same soapbar is still everywhere, the only nice thing is if you can hook up some of them african or asian imports (but very hard, even if you know people!)

Look for some concert program and find some reggae concert, usually you can score outside easily.

Find an Arab (not hard to do) taxi driver, give him a tip an you will find some hash. I did it last summer with no prob.
Be careful of the train from Holland down, they run the dogs thru regularly, got me in Antwerp, no fine just take a copy of passport and have you identify where you got it from a photo album, plus take your stash of course. Significantly worse in France. Take care

I have traveled two France quite a few times and lived there for six months in one period. The food is amazing, the city is beautiful, the bud, im sorry to say not so memorable.
Finding good stuff will not be easy, during the six months I was there, I managed to get one night where I got something decent. I speak, read, write fluent french so it was not a language barrier or anything, its just not the best place to go looking for it. And forget about the hash there, as noted.
Your best bet is to go to a place like the Latin Quarter (next to the Notre Dame Cathedral) or bars in the Marais Area (the Jewish District) or any where you people hang out and see what they will share. Otherwise, Paris is beautiful!

ive never been to France, but Ive always wanted to visit.
that sucks about the bud being hard to find out there. I wonder how growers fair in Paris ?

Buying in Paris is hard when you know nobody of course. It's much more easier, cheaper to buy in suburb of Paris. Once in suburb just go check the projects (ghettos), they are everywhere... Usually they always have weed (mid to good, depends of the project) in my area, and I know it's the same in all the parisian suburb.

Check the interRail website for international tickets. you can get a ticket that lets you travel in almost all European countries by train for 160€ (you can travel 10 days in a period of 22 days...or somethin like this)...prices may vary uppon season and age.
