I am not sure about the others, but I do know skunk is in a hella plants these days. I think all Nirvana strains have skunk, regardless of name. I could be wrong though.

My understanding of Cannabis in general is there are basically Columbian, Mexican, Thai (cannabis sativa), and Afghani (cannabis indica) origins all in the pool, and all in varied purieties and mixes. Dutch strain or any strain for that matter. Throw in some Cannabis Ruderalis and it gets even more complex.
I have heard the same thing about the Nirvana strains containing alot of skunk, however my understanding of their strains is the skunk they used is skunk #1. When I talk, think, hear of Skunk, I think of Skunk, Cannabis Indica dominant. Skunk #1 is Sativa dominant. Different look and high as well.
That's my take on it anyway. :joint:

It also seems that if the plant your growing doesnt look like one of those you might get a pheno that does look more on one side or the other.

I remember reading this somewhere too. I believe the three original strains that ended up in lots of dutch genetics are Skunk #1, Northern Lights #5, and Original Haze. These were each originally bred in North America from landrace genetics including thai, colombian, afghani, etc, and then taken to holland in the late 70's/early80's. That's pretty much all I remember, hope it helps.

Ask Sam the Skunkman, he was in the middle of it all at the time (early 80's - US genetics came to Holland).
But sayin' all Dutch genetics comes only from these 3 strains is a bit too far. Lots of water flew through A/dam chanels since that time, and lots of new genetics came to that city, so, they came a long way to modern day hybrids.
