The journalism coming out of BBC at least comes across like intelligent journalism. Not so much for the facts, but more for the style of writing, vocabulary used, etc.
Pro-pot journalism usually tends to come off like op-ed pieces or high school journalism, with lots of '!!!!'s and stuff like that.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
Yup - I hear you on that!!!! I cringe a lot whenever there are cannabis supporters interviewed on telly (usually after a dozen bong hits) or when they print half-cocked reactions to the cannabis slander. Stoners just don't have the media savvy required to win over a non-smoking audience. They completely fail to grasp how necessary intelligently structured, clear answers are when your trying to convince the audience that pot doesn't make you stupid. They really want to back away from that negative stereotype.
But the BBC reporting doesn't sound as professional as it once did. Too many news channels. The good journalists are spread very thin. I think we're dealing with the dregs of the talent barrel with this particular story.
