Hello all,
How much are vigor and expression patterns in progeny (via traditional sexual reproduction) driven by health of the parental plants? I suppose this would extend to the male's health up to and during pollen formation. And also to the mother up to fertilization and during seed formation. For this question let's consider environment to be irrelevant in that it would already contribute directly to, and result in, a parent's health and expression pattern.
Has anyone witnessed less potent or differently expressing progeny as a result of poorly kept parent plants? I know there are a ton of variables at play here, but I could imagine enough work has been done by folks on here to speak to it a bit.
Thanks in advance!
