Paranoid Sativas

I'm looking to grow out a sativa indoors, (4) 1000watt hps, organic soil. Space and height are not an option as I am growing for personal use. I'm looking for something with that super-racy, paranoid high, something that will hit me like a freight train. I've been growing indicas indoor for a while and am knee deep into sativas at this point, and really want to pick something that will satisfy. Anything come to mind guys?

if you want some info from people with decades of experience of every aspect of sativas talk to people like Chamba or MalJim

my experience comes for the most part from the smoking side, and many years of travelling, but despite that, the thing I would say is this: first and foremost, the essence of the true sativa high is in the unusually long flowering time

over the years I've lived, travelled and worked in various countries: Thailand, India, Laos, Morocco, Guyana, Jamaica etc.

the past few years in the UK have been a right pain for me, as in my experience the standard indoor strains I have been smoking have seldom taken me beyond just being "stoned" - fuck "ceilings", I seem to get lower than the sofa after a few tokes

if you want a smoke that will challenge and inspire you, that can be counted on to keep getting you celestially high after months of smoking, which keeps getting stronger the longer it cures, and, above all else, has a world-shattering intensity that can take you to the edge and beyond - then go with a long-flowering sativa, and preferably a landrace

my ultimate sativa collection would include, in no particular order:

"Hmong" Thais
some Jamaican "Lambsbread" ("Collie") strains
something from Guyana/Suriname
Malawi Gold, Africa
and some Swazi Redbeard, Africa, because I love that delicious aroma
and also some Nepalese and Indian "charas" strains

I am also really interested in the Reunion strains ("Zamal"), but have no experience of them; likewise central African such as Congolese

Chamba's phrase "hearing the African drums" and the "Asian bells" is spot on

for me that's what it's all about

Afropips Malawi 99 (Cinderella 99 x Malawi Gold) has proved a real success - fearsome intensity
personally I've never got much from the Hazes I have smoked - e.g. NL5xHaze, Silver Haze, Purple Haze, which I would say are a waste of time IME
also, adding in some UV is worth a thought

Nevilles haze and Willie Nelson also Orginal Haze, all are that racy type of high (which I hate) never found C99 racy either. The strains with alot of haze background will be the type of high your looking for. Good luck with that sativa indoors brother. I think you're gonna need it.

You should probably check out Capt. Crip's smoke report of Sam's Original Haze X Skunk. He seemed to be quite taken with it. It's first up on that forum right now.

dutchflowers lemon thai is supposed to be pretty killer. I know i'd like to give it a shot. Cherry bomb from reeferman sounds very intriguing as well.

thats strange.... the Vietnamese Balck is supposed to super racey... the Highland Nepalese is more on the mellow side... maybe you had a HN pheno... I was gonna recommend anything with the VB in it.....

I just ordered the Cinnamon Haze from MOD (Arjan's x Cinnamon) it sounds killer...

Sometimes I'll mix a bud of Apple Pie and a bud of Hawaiian Sativa in the pipe.... one hit of that makes your heart pound.... Good luck....

it's worth remembering that the character of the sativa smoke depends on a lot of things

e.g. how long you flowered it for is essential in a quality sativa strain: for the deepest smoke you need to leave it right till the last

then a good long cure will bring out everything else

there is a chance that a lot of the strains which are being described as racey were harvested on the early side, possibly not cured long - it depends of course

I would have to reccomend Kali Mist from Serious Seeds as the most racy, heart pounding, paranoia inducing strain i have grown. It was a super crystally cat piss smelling phenotype that would absolutely make you start sweating! This was back in 99 or so, therefore i cannot speak about the Kali Mist Serious Seeds is offering today. I have read that they have changed it since then, but i cannot say if this is true or not. I have grown Mr Nice SSH and i liked Kali Mist far more in every aspect (taste, smell, high). Hope this helps some.

namkha does bring up a good point. I have been accused of letting my plants flower a lil too long before harvest. but I can't help it I like that thump.

Try Bhangi Haze from ACE Seeds.

Rave reviews so far, and it's a pretty new breed along the origional haze lines.



As far as psychedelic herb goes, Mexican herb cerca Puerto Vallarta is some of the best on the planet.. I am growing seed from that herb I smoked last winter. Have 9 mexican ladies flowering now.
