Can anyone enlighten me on the best for not giving out Paranoia / Anxiety problems. You see I used to smoke loads years ago, and this started to cause me problems. So I gave up.
Now suffering from much pain due to illness. I have found smoking is a good un for relaxing my muscles etc. But allways afraid of the Paranoia and Anxiety problems.
So what are the best varierties to give you a high, help to relax the body but not to f..k up the mind.
Would really appreciate some suggestions on this one
PEACE.

alot of sativas tend to give a trippy paranoid high. look for a nice pure indica or something that is mostly indica to grow for your meds to relax your body. maybe look thru the smoke reports and find a good strain for you to grow.

Mazar

Mazar

I thought of something like Mazar, but have never tried it.
Feminized version of Mazar. I sort of picked this as its indica and maybe not to big to grow in my wee space....
What the effects will be remains to be seen

2nd prize High Times Cup 1999
2nd prize Highlife Cup 2002

Mazar is an upgraded strain of the former Afghan/Skunk initially bred by Dutch Passion in 1997. A very consistent cannabis strain with an increased yield. The Afghani (Mazar-i-Shariff) part is a very short Christmas tree-like cannabis plant, 100% Indica and very resinous. This genetic cannabis cross gives the variety a bigger yield and better taste. Mazar cannabis seeds have an extremely high shelf life and a higher female turnover than other cannabis seed varieties.

These cannabis seeds are the Feminized version of Dutch Passions Mazar.

THC = 19.5%, CBD < 0.1%

Check out some nirvana stuff if you want a lot of genetics to choose from at a cheap price. The have a lot of different indica crosses that should fit the bill. If you don't go with nirvana, there are a lot of indica varieties out there.

I had a similar problem but i got the victory. You can try to grow some light strain like to afghana*marroquí from Nirvana, or sweet purple of paradise seeds. In my experience strong´s indicas caused me anxiety, you must use lights strains.

Excuse my english.

I think blueberry is a good choice also, but there are some paranoia inducing specimens, not as bad as some other strains, but most blues are anti anxiety.

I dunno if he's gets anxious easily Bubba Kush and Hashplant would seem a bit too strong IMO.

Grow some Lowryder, which is reputed for having a mild buzz. Plus it grows quick as fuck.

I agree with whoever said sativas can give you paranoid highs. That is definitely the case with me. I love a nice trippy sativa high but I can get paranoid at times.

white rhino should fix you up nice...and yes sativas are headies and indicas are body stone...some people flip on a good sativa...but a finished indica no worries there man(unless you over do it)

Afghanicus

the first bud i smoked gave me a major panic/anxiety attack. this scared me off the herb for a while. It was some early harvested skunk 1 that i grew (as a freebie) and it tripped me out big time. That was only for the first 15 minutes of the high but it was total terror. Heart pounding and mind racing. This scared me away from sativas all together. Though i'm not sure if all sativas are like this. I just don't wanna go back there.

Now i only smoke indica and I think the more indica the better for anxiety and try not to smoke too much. See if you can get a 100% indica strain (maybe an afghani?). Let the buds mature well and toke small amounts at a time till you get where you want.

yeah it sure isn't fun Alfred, i forgot to mention that i got real paranoid on that stuff to. The anxiety/panic attack really was quite frightening but i managed to talk myself through it. As you said in one of your replies Alfred, a milder strain would be best and more on the indica side of things for anyone with anxiety/panic issues.

I personallyl need something that will give me some medicinal value at the same time while not being overly potent and mind blowing. I'm going to try sensi seeds hindu kush and i'm also growing twilight from dutch passion as i hear these are milder type indicas. Should get me nicely relaxed and some medicinal value. Landrace indica strains would also be good if you can get them as they are high in CBD which makes the high alot more sedate. Oneday i'll get me a landrace to try.

I've recently had some Romulan at a local club here in Norcal. Completely mellow with no paranoia. The main thing to look for is low to no sativa content.

hey guys!

i`ve got also problems with anxiety. but more the days after smoking not while the smoke. i was smoking for years, sometimes a lot and was always a little bit sensitive but never got real problems. i loved smoking. now sativas for me are absolutly impossible. i`m looking for a good strain, something more anesthetic stuff. i was also thinking about a good afghani...

Hi yoman, try to grow a medium indica like to afghanicus, sometimes the strong indicas like to sensi star could cause antagonic effects.

Peace my friends.

bubblegum is known to be a non-anxiety strain.

Also, make sure that you are smoking the right amount for your tolerance level....I have a rather low tolerance, and if I smoked as many hits as most folks I would be way more stoned than they get.

well i suffer from serious anxiety problems so here's my opinion for whats its worth...
some great suggestions came up that i completely agree with
the chocolate chunk is a definite possibility but if you wanted to be even safer i would go with blueberry like was previously mentioned (same person who mentioned the chunk)
blueberry i've heard isnt the easiest to grow so maybe that might not be the one for you.. another one id recommend is the shiva skunk but you should pick a phenotype leaning towards the NL 5 side as i find the skunk really get my anxiety going.
Also if you do find yourself smoking a strain that has left you more anxious than you were before.. i take Clonazapam in 0.5mg and they can be life savers...until this damn herb is legalized us anxious folk have to play hit or miss with strains.. better to have a back up.
I also agree with what was said; even u could get ur hands on bubba kush i think its a little too strong if you're worried about triggering a panic attack.
some other great ones to consider for cheap would be mandala's satori; never personally smoked it but heard great things..Ultimate Indica is a great choice too.
If it was me; id be buying mr nice mango haze. but thats just me
all the best
