Panic/Axiety Attacks lately.

While there are alot of people the absolutly refuse to believe that there are negative consequences from marijuana, they do exist. From time to time i suffer from the same condition as you speak of. I remember actually driving myself to the ER one afternoon believing i was suffering from a powerful heart attack. Smoked a bowl of fresh c99, had two strong heart palpitations, numbing in feet and hands, chest pains, difficulty breathing, and muscle twitches. Worst experience of my life. All test came back negative and the doc told my to stay off the wacky weed, LoL... Trust me you are not alone.

Anyways, if you search for anxiety/ panic attacks on this site you should find a few more threads concerning this issue. One of the remedies in a thread was to usevitamin c pills prior to smoking. They are really inexpensive and natural and seem to work for me. Whether it is a placebo effect i cannont determine, but its really worth a shot.

I smoked today nothing happend I just relaxed and played halo with my boy and everything was good!
I just need to relax, and thank god that im alive.
Be grateful for everyday.

This is a pretty common subject that comes up quite regularly.
Use the search tool and you will read allot of good posts.
I can summarise all these posts for your and give you this general outline:
-Whatever your situation in life is, good or bad, it will be intensified when smoking.
-Your heart rate will vary when smoking, usually it will go up when smoking, but if your healthy your heart can be go nuts and you will still be fine. Just uncomfortable.
-The mind is a powerful thing, a human has the ability to bend shit with his mind, so you can deffinately trick yourself into thinking your dieing.
-Panic Attacks cannot killl you, and you can get over them.

Ive had hardcore panic attacks. Everytime i smoked for about 1.5-2 yrs. It was so bad that one time i had to call my buddy while driving to pick me up cause my hands where goin numb. I actually thought i was having a heart attack.

But i took some breaks, changed a couple things in my life, including my own thinking and preception of the human mind and realised 'fear' can **** you up. But i kept on smoking.

Everytime i smoke my heart rate does go up and this is where i have learned to control it.... i ****in ignore it and go on doing my own thing.... talking to peeps or thinking about something else.... whatever you do CLEAR your mind right away when your heart rate goes up. And let the chronic do its own thing.

Yeah thanks this really has helped me Im going to stay calm slow down on the chronic and smoke indica's =D

yea ia lso agreee exacly with danksta...its all about your mind and your heart rate does go up. My pops is a ER doctor with a specialty in internal medicine, ive been puffin with him since i was 15, one day i just told him i smoked alotta weed...and he said ok...lets burn one together...ever since then we been closer than i can even type !! as it should be!! So anyways hes basically has told me the same thing...he even toook my blood pressure b4 we got high and after, and showed and explained what it can do physically to you, so basically yea just occupy your mind with something else and enjoy the ride!! rememeber why you lit up in the first place(to chill the **** out)...so just do it, also yes i also suggest strains with lesss sativa and more indica if you can help it. The mj "scene" has turned towards sativas for some reason and they are mixed into everything nowadays so if you can grow your own indicas or even find someone with a nice indica strain try it out...also try smoking some nice and clean "mids" for a while .... see what happens....i took a break from smoking for 2 months and it really helped me im smoking everyday now tho.....

Make sure you take the vitamin c 30 min- 1hr. before you smoke because anytime before that it won't really be effective and this is the main reason why it doesn't work for people.

Also, take 250mg-500mg. Some orange juice with the PULP will also help when taken with the vitamin C.

CityKnightz, you are probably the only one on this site who tried it and did it the right way and seen that it does work.

It's sad that most people on here would debate on something as far as it not working or not and never even try it even though they need help.

Anyway thanks for giving this advice because I was wondering if I should but I felt since I did it before and no one else listened so I would probably be wasting my time BUT obviously I was wrong because you listened.

BTW, for everyone thinking just smoking indicas will help this problem, I'm sorry to tell you it won't. It will just slow it down BUT as you get older, if your not keeping your glucose and adrenal glands in order by doing certain things, it WILL get worse and if you smoke some potent stuff it will hit you.

Some people just think this is something that comes along with taking weed but it's not, it's a signal that their body needs some fine tuning and nutrients to keep everything flowing along properly.

Anyway, just wanted to give the heads up so problems in the future can be prevented.

Please don't get mad at me, want to start an argument with me about how wrong I am, or try to clown me because I'm just helping out my fellow smokers and don't want them to get into a hard position that will be hard to get out of if you wait and let it build up. Peace.

P.S. You WILL have to change your diet because this is most likely what is causing these attacks so I would recommend a cookbook called deceptively delicious(http://www.deceptivelydelicious.com/site/).

It is a cookbook that shows how to make whole natural meals BUT they taste like and look like some fast food and unhealthy meals. Jerry Seinfeld's wife made it.

I was going to say take vitamin C pills and a multi-vitamin that contains iron.
I kept getting really depressed, paranoid, thinking that everyone is going to die from smoking weed. I have a history of pretty bad anemia, and I kept feeling constantly drained, tired and ni general just not wanting to do anything but sleep. I started taking 2 vitamin C tablets along with a multi-vitamin with iron and after 2 days of smoking as normal the depression is almost non-existant, no paranoia whatsoever and I felt generally fantastic. I think the vitamin C and multi-vitamin is a good idea personally.
I'd never heard of anyone mention vitamin C or any type of vitamins or minerals before, it's just by chance that I noticed it because the paranoia and depression was so bad and it just suddenly went.

Yeah Kizza ill try that out. im sure im fine its just i become a Negative nancy sometimes when im high.. might sound weird but!
Maybe i should stick with growing, its my income atleast most of it so?
Id be happy just 2 grow does that sound weird?

i gotta get in on this i too have panick attacks but severe ones every once in awhile i'll smoke citral that i harvested cuz its mild & relaxing & the sativa pheno is euphoric
but also vitamin B's like b12, b5, & b6 help as well vitamin b12 is suppose to calm your nerves & promote energy. if that doesnt help you could get st.johns wort which is a plant that helps depression you can find at the store along with the vitamins or try meds. like xanax, kalonapin, lorazepam for panick attacks & zoloft, paxil, & prozac for depression but i feel solving problems naturally is the best way.
if your going to smoke for panic attacks smoke something thats more mild in strength
& that is indica or indica dominant & take smaller hits. GoOd LuCk

Icon thanks for the good advice, i had another Panic Attack.. this time I ended up having to call my girlfriend to help me..calm down.. shit.. man Its hard to dedicate your life to something, when you just cant do it without.. horrible effects.

panic is easily controlled by mind pacifier if you will...i do math or read things backwards when i have panic attacks...the trick is to ****ing beat that bitch..lol...on a serious note i am serious...peace

yea the best way for me to deal with panic attaks is to talk it out with someone or play video games. anything to keep my mind focused & off whats going on also take deep breaths & slowly exhale also i'll watch a tv program that will make me start laughing ive been dealing with panic attacks for 13 years & this is a few things that work for me. i'll put a link to watch free tv shows & movies etc.....to help you all to get over your panic attack maybe it will help

i also failed to mention sipping cold water & splashing cool water on my face helps & sometimes i listen to classical music like beethover

maybe i'm the only one and the weirdo.
i actually love smoking strong sats w/ no ceiling.
i smoke until im destroyed.
paranoi is the key, i relish it.
i don't have panic attacks but i do feel like everyone knows im high.
am i crazy for inviting such mental chaos?
it also helps me perform under pressure.
most people fold like sacks of shit under paranoid pressure,
i excel.

it's all in your head man.
if you are not headstrong enough to handle these things, then im sorry.
all the meds in the world wont fix that.
go for the gold, or get back in line with everyone else.

im not going to strike back simply cause you dont understand why people are depressed & have panic attacks its because of a imbalance of chemicals like neurons & seratonin in the brain its a known fact that chemicals like pesticides , lead, murcury & other toxins in our food & in our enviorment absorb into our bodies & restrict cells to properly form & balance for our bodies needs.our chemical structure is screwed up
i have several health problem & one being metal toxitity of mercury & lead from my filling in my mouth causing all kinds of horrible havoc but in the past few months as my health plumiths i find my anxiety to the point i can not control anymore caused by the poisoning. there are many reasons why people have a chemical imbalance its not all in their head nor mine excactly. i use to love smoking to the point of flying in the clouds
but as my health worsens so does my immune system causing & my tolerance causing panick attacks.

Have you considered something like St Johns Wort or Valerian Root to help your issue? It's worked for a lot of people. The extracts work better than the pills but are more $$

I smoked today.. smoked some Kush.. and I feel much better I think positive and ADAPT to were im smoking first.. because if im uncomfterable it makes my anxiety worse.. I sat with me and some friends.. and played some video games.. i need to stay focused.. and also.. i took a cold shower.. right before I got high and that helped to.
