hi tangwena
your pics are looking amazing!
I have a few questions:
how do you count ? from light change regime to 12/ 12 or when you see the first pistols/blossoms?
do I get it right: you just give them seaweed? no bloombooster? no phosphor?
cheers mate

Hi THCMAN I count from the first real buds start, not the first pistols but when they start forming small clusters.
I feed them flowering nutes but not too strong this grow the peak was 1.8ec including 0.6 of the water. I also use shooting powder PK booster during the flowering stage but about half what the packet says.
I am still learning how these sativas like to be fed I used to use ec up to 2.4.
The last 3 to 4 weeks I use seasol sea weed extract no nutes, it has no nute value but keeps the roots healthy and IMO brings out amazing smells in the plant. This grow the smell of the plants is intoxicating from the seasol use.
I cant wait to cure these babies they are going to be awesome.

Hi Rod58 you are going to love the GT its my favorite high, I used to grow Malawi in the bush near Margaret River for many years, great growing areas down south.
You should be able to harvest end of April to mid May. You could end up with a massive plant if the soil is good or you feed her regulaly. Mine used to go 4 to 5 metres high untill I started laying them over and tying them down.
Please post pics man I love seeing these plants in the sun, if I get the time I like to grow in the Pilbara over winter, I just have to water regulaly and they go off. The feral goats can be a problem though so I have been not doing it much the last few years.
All the best with yours, the main problem down south is thieves.
Good luck.

Looking good mate they should grow to a very nice size and including the stretch once they start flowering you will have a nice crop. Once cured you will be able to do some seriously good tripping high's.

Happy Christmas Tangwena

Happy Christmas Tangwena

Well this is the harvest dried to stalks not breaking but buds dry on the external areas and sticky moist every where else.
The panama was the 3rd smallest in size, but the 2nd in bud production despite being a small plant, next the GT2013, then Panama Malawi and lastly GT 2015, but it was planted 2 weeks behind the others and was growing in 11/13 from the time it germed, so it would be a different story if she had the same time as the others.
I left the lower pop corn buds another week and they are now drying but still to green.

The bottom four pictures are from the left GT 2013 lemon, Panama, GT 2015 and Panama x Malawi.

Cobbing ready to cure

Cobbing ready to cure

I was bit busy cobbing these up, they had a couple of ounces of choice bud in each one.
The left over buds of each strain will go in the vac bag along with its cob to hopefully sweat along with the cob. It usually works well.
These cobs use 8 maize leaves each and are about a foot long.
These buds were more airy type big calyx resiny flowers. perfect for the second type of cob which is less compacted and i do not re tie them as I do in the cobs made with more dense buds, that form hard solid cobs.
These cobs will have buds that can be easily pulled off the cob, a more stringy type of cob.
They will still sweat in the bag and should become very trippy, speedy and intense. Just the way I like my buds.

That looks so interesting Tangwena. Never had cobbed smoke before. I'm told it is quite good. Thanks for the pictures. :)

The finished products in bags prior to vac bagging I will leave them like this 24hrs before sealing a paper roll of buds and the cob that was made from them together in the same vac bag. Because I will be away for the next 4 weeks thats how long they will sweat for.
Being less compacted they need more time, but should none the less sweat and mature nicely. I am looking forward to checking them out when I return.
There should be some serious mind bending to be had from these babies he he.

thats my plan this year as well mate , got a huge crop of corn growing now so i'll keep the cob wrapping and freeze them ..they should thaw almost to what they were when they went in ...
just can't wait to try it tangwena ..been a millennium since i've had great trippy buds , maybe longer ! lol..
thanks for all the info as well , great read !

Hi Rod in my opinion you are growing the right plants for that ha ha, with the massive harvest you are going to have you can make heaps of cobs, all at different stages of drying and see which ones you prefer straight out.
I used to make dozens after I harvested my out door plants, its great fun opening them a few months later after they dried from the sweating. Sometimes you get one thats just too much to handle and leave this life for a year or so.
The GT I had is nearly finished so i cant wait to try these 2 new ones. The high after 9 months is amazing the more you take the higher it gets, even a little has a big effect but taking just a little bit more is another level every time, its truly a high for every occation.
It makes me feel intelligent, focused and blissfully happy for hour and hours.
When I am straight after GT I am a lesser person, unfortunatly I feel I need it to function he he.
Stay cool brother and have a happy festive season.

Thanks mate same again maybe. I am revegging all the plants to take clones in case any of these is as good as my last GT. Which I failed to keep a clone of, I will not be making that mistake again.
Happy Christmas and have a nice harvest year.

Hi brother all the best for the season to you and yours. The smells really improved by flushing for 3 weeks with the seasol.
I now want to keep some clones going in case any of these is super good.
So far the Panama x Malawi looks promising, but any of them could be special.
The 2013 GT was nothing like my favorite GT from the same batch of seeds but the smell is so good, lemon and oil that it just has to be special.
The 2015 GT looks to be the same as my favorite one so I will be popping the rest next grow probably. I just love the effect.
The Panama is the best looking and the smell awesome I cant wait to try her.
I will be fishing in the North of our state for 3 weeks after Christmas it will be very hot but we only fish early morning or late afternoon early evening. Hopefully i will hook some big fish, summer brings the big ones out to play yeeha!
Life is so good at the moment thanks to Ace.

5 day cob cure

5 day cob cure

Well we had some hot weather and it speeded up the sweating of the cobs, after 4 days I could tell by the sickly sweet smell they were done.
I removed them from the vac bag and started to slow dry them as they were wet.
The GT 2013 has cured to a lovely golden brown color and the others are not far behind.
I have some buds that were vac sealed alongside the cobs that also sweated but did not have the maize husk wrapping you can see the difference, I dont expect them to be as strong as the golden brown buds.

Gday Tangwena and seasons geeting to ya. This cobbing sounds great. So corn husk leaf would be most effective material. Will take another look back at your posts again. The Tropical mix fem plants( Panama/Malawi) are the stinky ones so far out of 6 different Ace going. A real strong pungent deep oil earth aroma, and an attractive one at that too. ;)

looking good your end..... no end !!! ;)
