Greetings, dubi you may remember me from a few years back, or you may not, i took a small hiatus, anyways, Do you and charlie have seperately bred panama lines? Yours says 14-16 weeks, and charlies reg 9-12 and fems 8-10 or so, just curious, would like to run it in a perpetual but it has to fit within a certain time constraint,

not that quick, never 8 weeks, bit more around 11-12 at least, but Ive bred different generations with both selections, quicker ones and slower ones...depends on which line I use and for what purpose... all came from same breeding proccess but different selections and moms maintained, keep both types of moms as well. "Deepest" effect comes in longer ones but amazing results as well in quick phenos, maybe have not same fire but still kick you very well :) having quicker moms helps a lot and they have been used more for other crosses purposes as well.
Sometimes I hesitate when rolling some of most potents lol, Dubi knows well, some can be serious smokes

If I was looking for a good yielder for perpetual, and it had to be a 9-10 wk pheno or 18wk pheno what would be my best bet? Can you explain the chinese yunnan indica high for me?

Hard to say is subjetive question
Cant say much about creamy Yunnan, grew once i think, but am sure Dubi may explain this much better as far off much more experienced with it

Hey Charlie,

when you say the longer flowering ones tend to have a deeper effect would you be refering to all lines of panama? What about the longer flowering purple panama release? Thanks!

Hello,

Earliest panamas would finish 9-10 weeks, most of them between 10-11 weeks and a few late maturing plants 12-12.5 weeks. Purple Panama was a very limited edition of a rare late flowering purple panama pheno from earlier panama generations. We are working to produce more purple panama stock right now.

Chinese yunnan effect is dense, relaxed and quite psychedelic for an indica landrace. Surprisingly powerful if you dig a bit in the population and can find the right parental plants.

Hope it helps!

I was just about to start a new thread about this very subject, but found this one by doing a search for "panama." I noticed both catalogues were selling the strain panama, but the descriptions weren't the same, and the price was different.

So far, this thread hasn't done a good job of explaining the differences, in my opinion. I think this should be possible, especially because both Dubi and Charlie work closely with each other, and should be able to educate us about how these strains differ. I'd guess that anybody who is interested in growing panama would have similar questions about this strain, and would be helped by additional info.

Some things I have questions about: what height do these strains get to when grown indoors, and do they have different growth characteristics from each other? I'm curious why the difference in price (CBG's is 29% higher priced)? Generally speaking, when two closely related companies are both offering a strain with the exact same name in their catalogues, yet they are recognized as being not the exactly the same strain, it is important to inform the customers, as accurately as possible, the differences in these strains. When growing indoors, where the myriad variables of our gardens are immense, providing this info to us is a good thing.

I don't think I'll be able to make a choice without better descriptions guys. :)

Hello Wiggs Dannyboy,

Both panama versions are the same right now. Panama seeds that cannabiogen and ace seeds have been distributing till now came from same stock. New panama stock we are working to produce right now will be shared between both companies.

Panama is a mostly sativa hybrid but can be grown easily indoors, it's more vigorous than most sativa/indica or mostly indica hybrids and grows a bit tall, especially long flowering phenos but it works great indoors: high yielding, powerful, resinous, tasty etc ... one of best sativas to grow indoors from our catalogue, her best traits are expressed easily indoors except the red/pink pistil color, which is more evident when grown outdoors.

Hope it helps :) Please, feel free to ask. Thanks!

Hey Dubi I've gotta few questions about this. First is did ya get around to producing more purple panama stock? 2nd, how many weeks flowering was it? This really has my interest peaked as I've been looking to replace my purple killing fields from ****** for a awhile. And lastly do you have any pics of this purple pheno? Thank you

Hello Gerardbutler79,

There are no plans to produce purple panama stock again, unfortunately we lost the purple panama mum so any project on this matter is not a main preference right now, we are very busy with other projects this season. Thanks for your interest!

PD: And purple panama was posted here at ace seeds room in the panama thread, autumn 2009 if i remember well.
