THC as well as other cannabinoids are in an acid form, for example THCa, before they are heated. Heating THC results in psychoactive properties, this is the desired result. When ingesting orally the majority of the cannabiniods are utilized, up to 80%, while Inhalation results in assimilation around 20%. THC starts to vaporize around 200f, so we do not want to exceed this temperature, but it also will degrade if heated for to long.
---simmer method---
-as much or as little MJ as you want
-Some lipid(coconut oil is great because its digested so easily)
-small saucepan or pot
-on your smallest burner(or electric equivalent) place dial on lowest heat.
I have had amazing results with this method, is it too simple and essentially fool proof, as well as i never have a MJ smell, usually because whatever fat/oil(lipid) i'm using covers the smell.
--coffee maker method--
-Place finely chopped MJ in coffee maker, wait till halfway finished(producing about 10-14oz of water) and stop machine.
-Add sweetener to water(or be a man and deal with the strong MJ taste
-eat MJ that was used in coffee maker
!!COFFEE MAKER METHOD DISCLAIMER!!
Its very easy to make a large batch and consume to much this way. I know it sounds silly, but, it can be hard to judge how much you are going to be consuming with this method at time, so its always best to just take it easy. where as if you smoke to much MJ you'll just get tired, eating to much results in a very uncomfortable experience. 3 grams proved to be MUCH to much for me, i think i'd start with a gram and go from there.

-at this point you have two options, i've noticed with gas ranges, your going to get about 160f ish and thats as lowest it will go but thats what we want. So, ether place lipid on heated surface and check temperature via probe, or before adding any lipid, use surface thermometer to check temp
