Painting with organic, high brix, cannabis

No happy little tree jokes in this thread.... ok maybe a few!

Were gonna paint some really happy trees but first I gotta grow em!

My grow started out here in colorado convinced I could grow as good or better than what the medical dispensaries have to offer. My last grow was a dismal failure with bag seed. The bud was moldy the effects were awful and it tasted like shit and smelled like hay. Screw that shit.

3 years later I came back to icmag convinced with the right budget and a whole lot of patience and reading I could make a change. Its time to do things right. Ive been reading icmag everyday pouring through advanced botony, soil and organic forums.

My goal is to produce the best I can interms of effect taste smell and color. As these grows go on I will be doing macro photography and painting the results Into originals and prints for local dispensaries and connoisseurs of cannabis art. I hope to utilise my skills with an airbrush and high detail work to produce paintings youve never seen before.

The grow was designed to maximize the potential for genetic expression as best as I could. After seeing a load of anecdotal evidence to the effects and results of high brix levels in cannabis and other fruits and veggies. Ive de ided to put all my effort in that pursuit.

The flower room will be controlled with an atlas 1 temp amd humidity controller
Two 8 inch fans
A massive can filter
8x4 tent
Two digitial 600 watt lights with magnum xxxl hoods
Also have co2 to use with a kronos 1 controller. Im still debating the use of co2

The veg room will be low tech. And incoperated Into an Indoor veggy herb and flower garden off the living room.

Using budrunners soil mix as a starter for a method that leads to high bx° levels. I will be doing experiments with other organic additives to see what works and what doesnt when your using dr. reams based soils.

So far my mix goes per 32 gallon trash can
1/2 brick of 3.0 cubic yards of peat moss
1/4 brick of 3.0 cubic yards of happy frog
10 pounds of ewc. (Id like this to be more)
5 gallons of rice hulls
4 cups of 6-5-3 mineral amendment
2 cups fishbone meal
1 1/2 cup azomite

To activate the 4 trach cans of soil I built a vortex brewer. If You havnt seen these before. They are from microbemans posts/website and the organic soil forum.

Mixed in eureka springs organics 5 gallon compost tea starter kit

And that leads me to were I am tonight. Waiting for tea to brew and mix into my soil. Ill start updTing more when the veg area is cleaned up and I got some clones and seeds starting to grow.

Hopefully the entire 8x4 flower area will be stocked with gorrilla glue#4 and ill be planning another 4x4 to satisfy any curiositys I have with soil or strains. Keeping the 8x4 as a control.

Well after 4-5 months of research planning and saving this is were I am

Welcome enjoy your stay and thanks again to the community as a whole. None of this would be possible with out you guys.:thank you:

Im taking this as a good sign....

Lots of mycellium growth on two of the trash cans. Other cans have half as much

Just interesting that it popped up so fast. I noticed it last night 24hr after tea application.

Id also like to note that I used half of the ESO 5 gallon compost tea starter for about 3.5 gallons of eldorado spring water (lol)

Ran it 24 hr at 65°
Started out with a fair amount of material .most of it broke down into a rich earthy smell and an opaque medium brown color.

I think im on the right track :)

Taxes came in and I went shopping

Got some aloe and a couple other interesting looking plants to play with. Also got an herb garden setup. Its currently my seed sprouting dome as well. I have one ice cream that popped its head out today. One bag seed from real sour looks to be going pretty well. The seed that went througb half a bowl is not fairing as well.

Next weekend I hope to go clone shopping and start a new painting.

In the mean time here is some of my pencil work. It was a practice in free form creative drawing were I almost let my hand do the inspiration and I let my mind bring out the details. Fyi I wouldnt call this one finished

Interesting fact at .75 gram/watt ratio (estimate) when the lights are running my 1200 watt setup will produce 25 dollars an hour worth of product if valued at 150 an oz.

Thats a few dolars less than me and my girlfreinds hourly wage, combined! Derp!

Why didnt I do this earlier!?
