Painted walls and drywall mud in grow facilty, is it fine or bad?

I'm in the process of assembling a small scale commercial grow area and just wondering if it's harmful or not for the plants to be in areas with painted walls? They're not painted yet but I was planning on doing so asap. It won't be for several months until I would actually have plants in there but just wondering if anyone has any advice or experience in this area? Would paint or drywall mud have any effect on my plants or the lab testing I'll need to get done on them? What happens when temps or humidity raises could this release any toxins from the paint or drywall mud? Is there a particular kind of paint that is better or worse than others? Or am I just being over paranoid now?

You should be fine, have a fan with good ventilation, to extract the fumes ans stink fast worst is possibility blocking up the stomata, with paint chemicals but you should be fine, with a fan

Ok thx guys. Starting to sound like maybe I'm being a little too paranoid. This is going to be for medical purposes though so I really want to make sure.

Drywall and mud wont hurt anything but drywall dust can. Try not to sand the stuff. -

No ill effects at all if you sheetrock, mud it, then sand and paint before there are any plants in there,.
Like PermaBuzz said, no sanding dust at all in the air. That will effect the buds.
Use flat white paint for best reflection of light. Gloss wont work well.

Flat white over a good primer on virgin drywall is your best choice & shouldn't cause any issues. Premium paint is worth the price difference if your time has value. I'll likely never buy anything other than Benjamin Moore latex paint ever again. One coat coverage, for real.

Minor amounts of air pollution as aromatic solvents & dust aren't an issue, either. If it won't kill you, it probably won't harm the plants, either. Adjacent to my workshop, plants have happily endured occasional doses of spray paint fumes, paint stripper fumes, sawdust, paint dust & pretty much everything other than poison gas. It's called weed for a reason, because it's hardy & adaptable.

Edit- Benjamin Moore paint. Kelly Moore is also good, but hard to find.

you can get some anti mold additive for the paint for high humidity areas
