Painkiller

Hi guys
Hope you can help me out. My girlfriend has a lot of pain i her knees and have been operated 5 times in'em. Her painkillers make her heart beat, and i don't like that.
What is the best painkiller strain that you know of? I currently have Jack Herer and White Widow, but don't think they would be considered the best painkiller strains. What should i get for her?
Happy growing

Try something Indica Dominant.
Somas Afghan Delight comes to mind.

Various Kushes.

Ind Doms tend to be good pain killers in my exp. there are lots of Indica Hybrids that have a very strong punch, and help with rest and hunger, etc aswell.

the following are only a few, but good lines Ive used with success on patients vs pain.
Shunk, DeepChunk, LifeSaver, Jamaican Jam, Sunshine, BlueBerry, DeepSkunk9, DurbanPoison, Blockhead.
again there are many more..

Power House has worked wonders for 2 friends with MS, and many more with pain.

some lines I would Not recommend.. LowRyder, Haze, Thai, and many Dominant Sativas.
Sativas tend to be more effective on neurological and Immune System defficiencies. but some folks, some, do have good effect from sativas Vs pain.

C99 and her variants have been an acception to my findings.

If theres anything else youd like to ask, shoot away. Ill check back and help if I can.

Peace, bub.

lifesavor was the only thing I ever smoked that helped but I have a different kinda of pain than what you listed. Any of the kushes are suppose to be good. There probably isnt one answer, I would try imdica dominant strains and just try em till you find one. What pain kill is she on that it makes her heart rate speed up? they ussually depress heart rate not increase.

you listed jack herer and seeingas how genetically unstable it is I would be willing to bet there is a phenotype of it that is good for pain.

any Afghani (a good Afghani of course)
Black Domina
OG Kush

Romulan
Mr Nice

BOG bills LifeSaver as his medical strain...it's certainly not party weed, I'll tell you that. If you can find it, that might fit your ticket

Most people associate heavy indicas with pain management because their effects most closely mimic that of narcotics but sometimes people respond better to certain sativas. Especially in cases where antiinflamatory properties are desired and to reduce the use of cortisone. I've had multiple knee surgeries along with an arthritic sacrum causing sciatic pain. IMO the important thing to have is a high cbd. Its a common belief that indicas have the highest cbd levels because imported hash has high cbd levels. However most dutch indicas have very low cbd levels. Also people confusing cbn with cbd think that a high cbd level means a sedative herb but this simply is not true. Thc has a high affinity for the cb1 receptors located in the brain which causes the psychoactive effects of cannabis and lower intraocular pressure. Cbd has a higher affinity for the cb2 receptor located in the spleen which controls immune system function and reduces inflamation along with downregulating glucorticoid receptors in a way similar to cortisone. The other benefits of immune system function allow protection of nervous tissue which shows promise in treatment and prevention of degenerative nervous conditions.

On a more subjective note cbd tends to modify the effects of thc and to a certain degree actually reduce the psychoactive effects of thc making it so someone can consume higher therapeutic quantities of thc without as much added sedation and paranoia that can at times be unwanted. The effects of higher cbd levels include a delayed onset of the effects of the thc and a longer lasting high.

Personally I'd recommend cannabiogen's destroyer. Its an easier to grow indoor sativa that has the kind of high I'm talking about and to me seems antiinflamatory. The phenos that grew from the seeds I got weren't very edgey at all and didn't get my heart rate up at all but some of the meao thai phenos may produce a high heart rate. The bottom line is use what works for her and try different stuff until you find something that fits what she wants. Just don't be afraid to try some pure sativas.

I don't think there's any one fix-all strain ... some strains will be better at alleviating pain, others better at suppressing nausea, others better at increasing appetite ...

Wow - i was getting tired of getting no help last night after like 6 hours with no help. U certainly helped overnight. Thanks a lot guys. Helped me a lot.
She is using codein and paracetamol (codein makes hard bumb hard)
I think i narrowed it down to a couple of strains:
Black Domina
Medicine Man
Lifesaver
And surely would like to try Blockhead if available, but heard it's playing hard to get these days. I know there are many many varieties that can do what im searching for. Just wanted to hear from u guys what is the best. A lot of investment in a strain that wouldn't work for her (well i guess i could deal with it if she didn't like. Just think i'm gonna be busy with Jack Herer at that time. Just got 14-16 seeds sprout this morning - happy birhday, girls.
Jack is definately gonna do to me what i need - i'll just run around being happy with a biig smile for severel hours :woohoo:
Thanks for the info there, Zamalito. Advanced stuff.
OG Bub and all others. Thx. All opinions help me choose. The more the better.
Here are some random pictures - of my garden and my garden to be, where my future brides are gonna (please don't tell my girlfriend that!) grow up.

Haven't tried Medicine Man or Lifesaver, but from that list Black Domina works wonders in my experience. Had fracture in jawbone and couldn't even feel it after couple hits.

I also must add White Rhino and Black Domina. Both good painkillers that put you out.

keep all your female jacks don't cull any of them if you can help it, genetic variation on those make some of the phenos seem like different plants entirely. You may already ahve your answer.

Oh - that's a great idea, man tx. Didn't think of that. I was just gonna treasurehunt for that sativa pheno (is it called cinnamon)? hehe. Off course the indica phenos could have some of what i'm searching for.
Goodspeed
