Figure the whole country is talking about it , if you havent seen it youtube it, I would say that it was a little bit of a dirty hit, he kind of rides his head face first into a division in the boards/glass, and Chara is the Captain of the bruins, not a great example , it doesnt look like he had intent to injure him , but these guys are pros I'm sure he was aware of his surroundings and knew he was gonna hurt Pacioretty , just maybe not that much , what do you guys think ??

Well,I think the NHL really dropped the ball on this one.Regardless if there was intent or not,they should have handed out a suspension and a fine,the police would have never got involved then.
Now,did Chara mean to turnbuckle him...yup,did he mean to injure him to the extent he did,i don't think so.Chara is a HUGE man with power that is pretty much unmatched in the NHL.Ya he plays a pretty physical game but I have seen him ease up on guy's while fighting.I have never seen him conduct himself in anyway other than a great respectful player.But...just like highsticking ,hitting from behind ect...you are responsible for your actions on the ice..regardless of intent.Yes he should have gotten 3-5 games..that would have solved all the legal matters.

The Ganucks are not going to win the cup IMHO..at least i hope they dont..biggest bunch of whiners ever assembled in the history of the NHL...and the gimmicks the "Ganucks" constantly come up with is just plain embarrassing.I hate that f'n team and that greasy Luongo.But at least they dont call him the "honorary captain" anymore...that was ridiculous.

that was a sick hit and if chara meant that to happen he is an asshole (it is just a game). no matter how many times you watch the clip you can never prove intent. the nhl might be able to make the edge of that box a little more friendly too.

I agree Chara didn't intend to break his neck, but he did intend to hurt him. Chara didn't have to push him in like that, and it was an interference with 15 seconds left in the period. they should have suspended him 5 games

Im just sad MaxPac's life/career is in jeopardy. he was turning into a big time player for us. hopefully he can come back next year

I hope Chara or Lucic never step foot in Montreal without an escort, they will get dragged through the streets like Mussolini

Habs have been playing like their collective necks have broken ever since...but hey, he got a 5 minute penalty so it's all good! Sad.....
