Ozone issue I believe

what are we talking about with regards to recovering from too much ozone in a room?

right now more and more leaves are being effected, and i just shut off the ozone generator for good.

is my crop basically shit now? were talking 30% of the plants are hit with it, and were about a week into flowering...

does anybody have early / mid / late pictures of this issue so I can compare in the mean time?

the images are two of the worse leaves, but i would say overall about 30% of the plant has this, with leaves hit the hardest at the top.

at first I thought it was heat issues, but moving the lights didn't help at all.

(since they were canoeing and drying out)

canopy temperature is like 78 at the most.

How long has this problem been going on? 1 week at most but gradually increasing in severity
Are you growing in a PVC grow tent? (example: Hydrohut or any other non brand tents) No
What system are you running? (DWC? Ebb flow? Aero? Water Farm? Flood Tables? and so on...) A mix, i have buckets with a brain bucket. when i water, water is pumped from a res to drip like setup on top of the rockwool cube / hydroton mix. this drains then into the plants bucket, which makes the brain buckets level rise, where a pump turns on based on water level. this pump in the brain bucket pumps water back into the res. Water stays at about 1/3 the height of the bucket, and tehre are airstones in all the buckets. the roots hang down and get misted / sit in the water
What STRAIN are you growing? two different strains, one seems a bit more severe than the other, White Widow and Red diesel, the RD being the more severe one
What was the establishing technique? (Were the seed or clone?) seed
What is the age of your plants? 3-4 weeks in veg, about 2 weeks into flower
How long have they been in there mixture they are in now?(coco,soiless etc..) entire time
How tall are the plants? 4-5 feet with about 1 ft - 1.5 feet between them and the two 400W HPS bulbs
What PHASE are the plants in? (seedling, vegetative or flower) are the plants in? flower
What Technique are you using?
What substrate/medium are you using?(Hydroton, RockWool etc.) hydroton / rockwool mix
What is the Water temperature? 20C
What color are your roots? White? Brown? Are your roots slimy? white
What Nutrient's are you using?(If growing soiless) Advanced nutrients
How much of each nutrient are you using with how much water? PPM is about 1000 (@ .5)
How often are you feeding? (If using soiless) 2x daily for 30 minutes
How often are you giving nutrients? (If using soiless) refill maybe 1time a week
If flowering, when did you switch over to using Bloom nutrients? the day after i switched the lights
What order are you mixing your nutrients? (example: veg nutes 1st, bloom 2nd ect) 1 at a time like you are supposed to, and give it a few seconds and stirs so its mixed
What is the TDS/EC/PPM you are using? 1000 PPM @.5 i believe
What is the pH of the "Tank"? 5.4-5.9
Are you sure your calibration is correct on your equiptment? yes
How often do you clean your system: example: Flush out water replace with clean water and nutrients? did it right during the switch
What size bulb are you using? 2x 400W HPS
What is the distance to the canopy? 1 - 1.5 ft
What is your RH Factor(Relative Humidity)? ~30%
What is the canopy temperature? 78ish
What is the Day/Night Temp? (Include flucutaion range) 65-75 over the course of 24 hrs
Tell us about your ventilation, intake exhaust and when its running and not running ? had O3 generator, took that out. was using a "sealed" room, but it really wasn't sealed, however maybe is a Co2 deficiency? (if the room was more sealed than i thought?) I have now switched it so that the intake for the AC unit is disconnected (ac off) and a fan sucks air through a carbon scrubber and out of the room to get real airflow going. Note that all during veg, it was using the AC unit, however there was no 03 generator
Is the fan blowing directly at plants? yes
Is your water HARD or SOFT? ~130PPM from the tap
What water are you using? Reverse Osmosis (RO)? Tap? Bottled? Well water? Distilled? Mineral Water? tap
Are you using water from a water softener? no
Has plant been recently pruned, cloned off of or pinched no
Have any pest chemicals been used? If so, What and When? no
Are plant's infected with pest's no

ive got an ozone unit...mine is also turned off and will stay that way until it rusts into powder and blows away in the wind ! worst ever bit of hydro gear ive ever bought!

had burnt plants like yours....but i didnt have it in my room cause ya dont!!! mine was in the roof space but i didnt have a decent exhaust and it seeped back into the room.

ozone air is very dangerous shit to breath in for us man...will wreck your lungs!...it needs be be exhausted right away from the grow and out into the open air right away from your breathing space...

seeing i never got it together and set it up right i wont even try to inform you about that...plenty off ppl around here im sure than can help you with that...

Just move the ozone gen out of the room and the plants should clear up.

I have been using a ozone for a while now to clean up any stray stank in the area outside the room. Works like a charm to catch anything that gets past the first line of defense.

I only stick my ozone generator in my exhaust.
