Ozone generator bad??

Is it bad to run my ozone generator in my basement while I am upstairs? I do not smell it through the floor but I figured I would ask before I continued to use it while I am home.

ozone test kits are available,,,ozone dissipates in like 30 minutes..i don't know if the ozone would drift upstairs ....testing is the only way to determine safe levels... or if you knew the output you could prob calculate it....sounds like your running it constant???..ozone is best in exhaust if inside i would def be testing for levels

ozone is heavier than air so it oughta stay down there -- mostly.
The shit still gets around regardless in my experience even if there is no furnace
or fans running. Your basement would need a good seal above it - not common.
I ran a ozone machine in a crawlspace and I could notice it two floors up.
It wasnt that obvious and if you didnt know it was running it was hard to tell - but I could.

I just stopped running it. I will run it when I leave my house. I will try looking for an inline ozone fan. Damn gg4 is a stanky one..

sore throat

I often got a sore throat from ozone in my grow,no lasting effect
Not really a good thing to do though.
been doing this 25 yrs no noticable damage.A

I run one on exhaust and just turn it down until I can't quite smell ozone. Without it my house stinks outside with the windows closed!

I run the OZN-1, in my front doorway.. let 'visitors' smell the ozone initially when the first walk in and give their sense of smell something to focus on instead of the fresh bud smell from the other room that is unmistakable with out it. this isn't my first OZN-1 but damn you can smell the ozone two floors up, Heechops!?

what brand/model/size/cost generator are you all using? and I can not turn mine down..

I have always used uvonair machines..ozone is safe and totally effective if done right...ozone Is used in many places..alot of gyms have em to combat stanky sweaty smells...get a test kit and try to put em in exhaust if possible otherwise...I had one in my basement with my machine shop once and it seemed things rust really fast till I put it in exhaust..

Ozone oxidizes the hell out of any organic material, smelly stuff, your lungs, just anything. If you can smell it, it's too much. That is what I have read. I also built a Tesla Coil that gives off lots of ozone.

This is the one i.use...i keep it on super LOW,AND THATS PLENTY...and keep the fan.speed on medium ...its pretty strong for just barely turning it on and keeping it fairly low...
