What's up all.
Since I am a member of this board, I thought that I should also make my contribution.
This is my second grow. If anyone has comments or critique, then please feel free to make your contribution. The only thing that can happen to me is: I can only learn from them.
Thanks for taking time to stop by.
Here is what I am working with:
Equipment:
Wardrobe (88 cm x 57cm x 150 cm) with black/white plastic. I cut two holes in the bottom back for intake and one on the top for the outtake.
250 Watt HPS
Cooltube
Carbon Filter (unknown Manufacturer)
Exhaust (PrimaKlima 220/360 m³)
Organic fertilizer – BioBizz Series
Square pots 10 cm x 10 cm x 11 cm
BioBizz Light-Mix Soil
Seeds: Haze19 x Skunk from Nirvana.
Plan: I hope to get two females. One mother plant is going to stay on my balcony so that I can take clones. Hopefully it won't smell so strong. The other female is going to be planted in a garden of a friend.
April 23: I planted five seeds directly in pots that I filled with BioBizz Light-Mix soil.
April 26: First two have sprouted.
After one week 4 of 5 have sprouted. For some odd reason, one is a mutant. I'm going to let it grow. Who knows, it might be female. And from my experiences, mutants also give a very good high.
The mutated plant:
At the beginning of the second week, I started to feed them BioGrow and Alg-A-Mic. There is not much going on during the growth phase, except that one can literally watch the plant get taller on a daily basis and the plants are starting to give a light scent. I hope it doesn't get much stronger.
Here are a couple of pictures. One is from the beginning of the week and the other is from a couple of days later:
In week 3 I cut the bigger two plants. I hope that the cuttings will survive so that I can determine the gender. I hope that I did it correctly. I placed them in my flowering cab.
After I took the cuttings I started to feed the plants with Alg-A-Mic, BioGrow, BioBloom and Top Max. They are being fed according to the scheme.
May 26: My cuttings are starting to show problems, since they're in the same cab as my last two flowering plants. It's probably the humidity in the cab that's giving them a hard time. The humidity is at 41%.
What I have observed since I cut the plants is that they're starting to grow really fast. I'm going to repot as soon as the roots don't have any more space to spread. They're going to be potted in square Pots (15x15x20 cm). These are the pots that they are going to stay in.
Here are a couple of pics from the plants:
May 28: I cut the last plant today so that I can determine the gender.
Here is how I took the cut (took the other ones in the same way):
Here you can see the mutated plant in the background.
Here is where I took the cut:
The cutting:
A cut at about 45 degrees:
The cut was placed in water for a few minutes:
The bottom two leaves were cut off:
Leaf was trimmed:
I filled a pot with 3/4 light-mix soil. The top layer consists of peat (bought it in a pet shop).
And of course, very important, label:
After I finished I placed it in a fishtank that I taped black/white plastic around and in. I also placed the other cuts in there (the two on the right). I hope they will recover through the humidity (100%). I put lights for plants in and they are being lighted 12/12.
Well that's about it for now. I'll post again in about a week. After I spent so much time with this post and trying to preview (to no avail), I hope that the pictures are also in here.
Thanks again for your time. I wish all success and high times.
Peace,
Overseas
